What’s your “If I won the lottery” fantasy?

Do you think there’s a right way to win the lottery and live your life? A wrong way?

Anyone have any insight on what throws most lottery winners off the tracks? I've heard comments about how it can negatively affect your relationship with friends and family because now they think you should give them some of the money or help them out with money whenever they “need” it. Also how after the initial rush wears off being surrounded by a bunch of expensive junk and serving no real purpose in life isn't very satisfying. I imagine drugs, alcohol, prostitution and gambling claim their fair share of lottery winners, too.

I was reading the “Should Utah Have a Lottery” thread and with the huge single winner jackpot that just took place maybe some of you have been thinking about this lately.

Oh, and for anyone who drove out of state to buy tickets, how many did you buy? Do you have a strategy for picking numbers or any other superstitions regarding the lotto? Smith, Tony Allen). With two of the top three picks of this group of 15 the Jazz only landed one rotation guy, none of the near-stars and that one guy they traded after one year.

I shamefully ripped this guys post but he does such a great job. Rather than rewriting what he did I instead posted what he said.

This guy just does such a great job of breaking down that Jazz really haven't done as good as expected in draft. Oconnor got a couple of steals in round two of draft so it makes it seem like he is better than we think he is. I for one am glad we have a new GM. How to read the table.

There were 10 players picked #1 that were 10+ All-Stars. The #1 draft position accounts for 34.48% of all players that were 10+ All-Stars. In 53 drafts that were eligible for this calculation 18.87% of #1 picks turned into 10+ times All-Stars.
