Why are liberals so annoying?

I find that many conservatives are very open minded as long as you agree with everything they think and say. I'd say more but don't want to flame the hatred.

You can interchange these words and the sentence still holds true.

The difference is that conservatives typically have a known set of values and beliefs and readily admit these up front. Liberals claim to be open minded and accepting of all values and beliefs but only as far as you agree with them in many cases.

That is the problem with liberals (which I think is different than a left leaning individual). They know better than you. No matter what it is, they know how you should behave and what you should do better than you do.

Just on outward manifestations alone, I think the big consversative/liberal divide is that there is a strong term identity relationship inherent in liberalism that doesn't really exist in conservatives. Liberals want you to know they are liberal. They want you to know they are trendy. They want you to think they really do care about cars running on poop, female polar bears' reproductive health, the water level off the coast of Guam, and every other "problem" in the world that nobody cares about because they aren't as cool as them. And then when you laugh at them, they go into the bag of defensive terminology and pull out racist, bigot, or homophobe even though you were talking about the water level off the coast of Guam. **** gets old.

A few days earlier, I had to defend the idea that human beings are far more intelligent than any other species on earth. You would think that this is so damn obvious, that it would be beyond reasonable discussion. But nope, not to them. Just look how intelligent that dog is! He totally understands what I'm saying. Am I missing something, why would anyone want to argue about human intelligence (in general) superiority compared to animals? We are the ultimate result of evolution, debatable whether or not we were directed by God or not.

Oh yeah, I don't think white people are racist, but the system (voting districts, marijuana possession arrest tactics) are favorably (or unfavorably) skewed towards certain races. Anyone can argue that affirmative actions are unfair as well.

I don't get how anyone thinks communism is awesome. It's a terribly repressive government system and usually leads to the death or ignorance of millions of people (ex. North Korea). The only thing China does right is the swift execution of some white-collared crimes. If the U.S. had that, we wouldn't have the economy crashing into a ****hole.

We have an attribute related to information processing and problem solving that we call intelligence. Humans possess this attribute at a MUCH higher level than any other animal. There is also massive differences in intelligence among animals. I don't see how this can be rationally denied.

The racism argument is a bit long, and I don't feel like getting into. But as far as communism is concerned, the argument is that the Soviets and other communist were a corruption of TRUE communism. Marx vision of communism was anarchist and without any central government. It is about self-sufficiency and living a simple life. I personally find that horrifying.

Good post. I have more politically conservative tendencies, but much of the far-right can be equally as repulsive as far-left. (not quite, but close)
Overall, I like/identify with the conservative values much better than liberal values .. but I stand on my own belief system rather than subscribe to an entire platform. It seems anything else would be assinine.
