McCollum plays a lot like Damian Lillard. Both are scorer's first, and absolutely love those step back jumpers. CJ is hitting his 3FG at a remarkable 53% this year and takes almost 6 a game, but I expect it to drift back toward 40% (still good). While Lillard has made the transition to PG, McCollum might have it a little more difficult, his assist to turnover ratio has remained just slightly better than 1:1 throughout college, while Lillard's was a more healthy 1.4:1
A backcourt of Burks and McCollum would be a nightmare to defend though, you could run some variation of a dribble drive offense with McCollum, Burks, and Hayward in. All can drive, dish, shoot, and get to the free throw line a lot.
Forgot to mention UK playing on ESPNU (now).

Anthony Bennett Drawing Karl Malone Comparisons
Jan 02, 2013 4:39 PM EST
Anthony Bennett has had an outstanding freshman season at UNLV, averaging 19.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 28.3 minutes per game.
Bennett has increased his stock in the eyes of NBA scouts.
"I have heard Karl Malone a little bit, which is really intriguing," wrote Chad Ford.
Bennett is listed at 6'8, which would make him a slightly undersized power forward.

Been following Bennett closely for 3 years now .. seen 11 games live. He's really good .. I think he's a tweener that will transcend the position like Barkley .. not as well .. but in the same way. He has a bit of perimeter skills, but I think he needs to focus on strength rather than handles, etc...
He should go around 14/15 on 'my' board.

We will have to disagree on where he ranks. I see him as a top 10 potentially top 5 depending on how well he performs in league play. Like you I have seen him play for 3 years both at Findlay and as a season ticket holder. I really like his swagger and his versatility, but do agree he needs to try to be more effective in the post as he tries to do too much on the perimeter at times. I think some of that is rices offense though because at Findlay he did a little more work down low.
Was Malone a legit 6'9? Bennet is 6'8 and change from the look of him. I think a taller Grandmama is a good comparison for him. Unfortunately he has had back trouble like LJ so hope that does not become part of his comparison.

I don't think Bennett will be in the Jazz's range. He intrigues me greatly, though.
Playing well is priority #1 and nothing outside of that is really even close. If you're hoping someone else ****s up, then you don't deserve the break.
