RIP Alec Burks. This win means nothing. That Dallas lineup is atrocious and they were playing the second of a back to back on the road. Kentucky could have won that game.
Barring an injury there seems to be little hope much will change for Burks. He can work hard in the summer and play well when given an opportunity, but he couldn't control the team that drafted him. Sad.
Im happy for the win. It does not mean nothing. It's a win.

I was wondering if Burks was on the inactive list or something (until he got the last couple minutes of garbage time).
Cut Tinsley, play Foye and Burks at the backup guard spots.
I'd also like to see Milsap come off the bench and Favors start, but that's another topic.
Come on you guys. Everybody that played went hard and we got the win. Burks will see time on the floor this year. Our team is DEEP, very deep. It's impossible to give everyone minutes every game and I'm sure this isn't a set rotation. At least everyone played their hearts out and out-muscled Dallas and got a win in the first game of the season. But eventually somebody needs to FREE ALEC BURKS
I too would love to see Alex Burkes exonerated! But what crime did he commit?

Man, I was really down when I didn't see Burks play that much. I just didn't enjoy the win as much as I should have.
I don't have as much of a problem with this as most of you do. The guys playing ahead of him (Foye/Carroll) tonight were playing good basketball. I would like to see him getting Tinsley's minutes, though.
I'm a huge Burks fan, but sheesh, Foye played extremely well in the 2nd half. Though I do think he should get minutes over Carroll, but Carroll also provided energy.
Burks will get his minutes, it's a long season.
It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start. - referring to the Jazz/Bobcats game on 3/1/13
Earl, Randy, and Marvin started the first quarter 0-3, scored a whopping zero points, and finished with a turnover in the first quarter.
