You are missing the point.... the point was that all portland had to go off of was college, summer league, and pre-season.... seattle jazzfan was just saying that burks played about as well as lillard in the same game situations, but portland decided to give thier guy major minutes and the jazz did not.
I wonder when Burks gets a chance with the second unit. We need some more scoring punch off the bench.

It's all we have with Burks for this year. It's all Portland had with which to judge Lillard before deciding to give him big minutes when it does matter. Like you say pre season and summer are meaningless - that's why so many are clamoring for Corbin to give him time now - when it does matter.
Once again, Portland has NOBODY to challenge Lillard. Utah has a few guys who can play, Foye, Hayward, Carroll (I know a lot of you hate him but he is a pretty good defensive player), Burks has to beat someone out not just be given time based off what might be.

I agree I would like to see Burks get some play, all I'm saying is its not cut and dry that Burks needs to be playing over Foye and Carrol. I really like Burks and I would prefer it if he played but Im not calling for anyones head.
