While I want to trade Jefferson (and Foye as Burks needs playing time), to start a thread like this as if he's the reason for our 1-2 start is just silly. Jefferson hit a few big shots down the stretch last night. He was a 0 for the game as far as +/- goes while Favors was a -14. A far from perfect stat I know but somewhat telling. Two rebounds in 23 minutes for Favors is an absolute joke for someone with his athleticism and size. Hell, he and Kanter had a combined four rebounds in over 34 minutes. That's unacceptable. There was more than one play where Favors and Kanter even stood around while a Spur drove for a layup or an easier basket. The Manu one in the 2nd quarter stands out. Now in his third year, Favors still has no offensive moves. Sorry but the longer it goes on, the tougher it is for me to stomach it. And on and on and on. In brief, this game and our start can not be pinned on Jeff. It should be pinned on Corbin first and foremost. He decided to leave Favors on the bench in the waning seconds of the NO game. He's decided to keep Burks on the bench in games where he could clearly be utilized and utilized well. He's decided to pull hot hands (like Hayward last night) at the most questionable of moments. Sorry, I want F'Al gone but our start needs to be pinned on Corbin and the FO almost equally as much for both extending him when unproven and building a roster that goes 11 deep thinking that would work.
