Yeah i said they are the worst without Gordon, maybe too much exaggaration since i didnt watch all teams, but they suck normally, what they do is simple, try to keep the other team on the lowest score possible and score as much as they can, thats not a bad strategy for a team with awful players, coach must be smart.
Mo doing some serious chucking toward the end there. He is not going to be a reliable go to guy when the seconds are ticking down and if Corbin tries to make him that it will be a painful lesson.
Lets face it, we didnt make very good moves in the offseason, we are still at the same level , we sent Harris but we brought someone with similar quality, just different gamestyle, Marvin was a decent addition but he isn't that good as well. You can't really play for the top in this league if you don't have a superstar player, however unfortunately we have fake superstar called Big Al, who just make stats but nothing else.
Truth? You watched that game and concluded from it that Sap is a smart player? What? You want Kanter to create his own shot and make it 'For example he should attempt shot instead of passing 3 sec left on shot clock'? Do you know why he'd pass it out? Maybe because his slow ass got caught in a triple team nearly every time he was fed in the post (how many times was he fed in the post again? Like 8 times?)

When Locke is in full apologist mode, it's a bad night for the team.
Playing well is priority #1 and nothing outside of that is really even close. If you're hoping someone else ****s up, then you don't deserve the break.
Tough loss but the Jazz probably didn't deserve to win the game. New Orleans is not as bad as people think. They play hard and there bigs are a tough matchup because they go out and shoot the three.
PG- I love Mo Williams but as Karl Malone said, he is not a PG. He had a lot of turnovers tonight and generally sucks in the half court game. I love his toughness and his shooting ability. Tinsley gets the team in the offense but his lack of shooting and defense is killing the Jazz. I would rather Burks get minutes.
SG- Hayward played alright despite the slip on defense. The Jazz didn't lose the game on one play. There was a lot of bad executing down the stretch and too many turnovers to win the game. Tonight Foye showed why he is getting minutes. He kept us in the game with his shooting.
SF - This is a game where I can see why people feel Marvin doesn't play up to his talent. He played ok but sometimes I forgot he was in the game. This is another place where Marvin could get more time or Hayward could slide down and play the SF and Burks could get some minutes. Carroll is a nice hustle player and he played ok but he is what he is.
PF- Paul struggled a little with Lopez, Davis size but Paul always reminds me why he is important to the Jazz. He is not afraid to take a big shot. He wants the ball in crucial times. I thought Favors played well initially especially on defense but tonight showed how far Favors has to go offensive. He really needs to work with eitherHakeem or Malone and develop some moves. I think Favors will never be a great offensive player but he should have been in the lineup at the end of the game for defense. The fact that Favors FTs shooting percentage is low probably also keeps him on the bench.
C-AJ didn't play badly but tonight is a perfect example why we need AJ and why we need to get rid of him. AJ had a nice run offensively in the 4th quarter but his defense had a big impact on us losing. Besides the fact that he took a really poor shot in the last two minutes when he did his black hole impression.
However, AJ can score which is lacking with Favors and even Kanter. It is apparent that Kanter and Favors aren't starting because they are still very raw offensively. However, I thought Ty let them play through their mistakes. I still think Favors should have played more.
Kanter- certainly not his best game but I can't complain about the effort. I felt as though he got a few bad calls and struggle with the size of Lopez (so did everyone.- It seems as though Lopez plays well against the Jazz). The young guys are going to struggle on the road but I just thought the refs allowed Lopez to push Kanter and Favors around without getting any fouls. Kanter needs to learn to be quicker with his decision to either take it to the basket or to pass out of double team. He is passing it out but he waits too long sometimes.
I still wish Ty can find some time for Burks - Tinsley/Carroll minutes.
I don't really understand how you can let Anderson get open to hit a three pointer. You put either Marvin Williams on him or/and bring in Favors. Lastly the Jazz half court offense was really bad tonight. I give NO some of the credit for playing tough defense but the Jazz did not execute that well especially down the stretch.
I am impressed with the Hornets team. They are scrappy and they were missing Gordon and Davis didn't play the whole second half. Davis is the real deal and he is going to put up big numbers. I really liked Vasquez as well. I don't know too much about him. Was he drafted by Memphis?
I am proud of the Jazz effort. They didn't lose because of effort. It was poor execution in key moments that did them in. Too many turnovers, missed FTs and average defense will not win you too many games in the NBA especially on the road.
Dal's game review
Al: ..........speechless
Sap: A net-zero of a three-point heroic (after absolutely ****ing up on his defensive assignment the play before), not to mention his pedestrian shot selection, his willingness to take fadeaway shots a la CJ against Ryan flipping Anderson. Could not get going offensively in any sense, played a poor defensive game to boot. Outplayed by all four PF/Cs of the Hornets tonight, and one of them left before halftme
Marv: Laid an absolute egg, like the duck he is. Give him a free pass, he's a new player in a new system, and he's coming off a pretty decent game
Mo: Catching too much flak for trying to get his team going when literally no one was stepping up to the plate. Poor decisions in clutch-time. Hope this doesn't become a recurring theme.
Hayward: Inconsistent (deja vu). Only starter (along with Mo) who truly deserved to start. Not assertive enough. Classic, infuriating Hayseed. Dude could've won us the game.
Kanter: Good defense, abysmal offense
Favors: Great defense, abysmal offense
Foye: One of the only bright spots of this night. Solid defensively, carried us offensively. Made one mistake that everyone was quick to harp on, despite forgetting the fact that this dude was the only reason that we were even competing in this game with 30 seconds left
Carroll: Solid defense, pedestrian offense. Not too many expectations here.
Burks: LOL
Tinsley: Had some decent feeds, still can't play a lick of defense. Sigh.
Now we know why Marvin Williams has been Marvin Williams for the last 8 years. All that athletic ability and he's chucking up 3 after 3. It's maddening. Give Corbin a little credit for yanking his ass.
Favors comes in for Jefferson and Robin Lopez suddenly looks like Brooke Lopez. I can't fault Al for Anderson's corner 3. But other than about 4 minutes of The Mavericks game the guy has played no defense whatsoever this season.
Jazz save their two worst defensive series for the last two times NO got the ball.
Harpring says Foye's jumper at the end was not a bad shot - is he kidding me. Foye is not that good. He got on a little roll but god damn, he's not frickin Kevin Durant. You don't give a journeyman SG that type of green light.
This game had loss written all over it - when a team with less talent than you wins for no other reason than that they want it more -it's inexcuseable.
I remember a time when I got mad when the Jazz lost. Now I'm like "Oh well, at least I'll get some Jazzfanz drama".
