    Growth from within

Where is it? The Jazz are a young team and should be getting better, right? So why do we have the same timid Hayward, the same offensively challenged Favors, the same Kanter with his rookie mistakes and inability to pass. Burks is now being outplayed by Foye ...and in addition to that he somehow managed to lose the ability to hit the free throws! And to top it off, Millsap and Al look exactly the same as the last year.

This team have been carried by new players, all rejects and misfits: Mo, Marvin, Foye.

How long should we wait for our young guns to develop? I can give a pass to Burks and Kanter, but somehow other players from the 2010 draft have already arrived: Cousins, Wall, Aminu, George,Turner, Monroe... It is painful to watch so many young stars on other teams and keep repeating the mantra of being patient.

I wouldn't call Turner much better than Hayward if at all. Aminu definitely isn't. Aminu didn't even have his fourth year option picked up.

They may never become clearly better than Hayward and Favors, not everybody has a potential to be a star. But they keep improving. With Hayward and Favors I am not sure that they are better players now that they were in the final months of their rookie seasons.

Hayward is an excellent player. We're only 2 games into the season.

I think playing time is generally helpful in player development.

But I'm no NBA head coach.

I dig. I wish I could share my feelings that easily.
