    Happy trails, dude.

Still bitter about that extension, though...
Playing well is priority #1 and nothing outside of that is really even close. If you're hoping someone else ****s up, then you don't deserve the break.

The Jazz are a more emotional franchise though. It's like people that keep certain items in their house for emotional attachment reasons.
The Lakers are purely a uneducated fanboys bandwagon franchise.

He should not have played against Denver when he had the pain

Love the guy. I'd love to see him coach and I'd still love to see his number retired here. Plenty of #'s to go around after all. Might be a great shooting coach if Horny ever goes elsewhere or gets promoted...

Agree. He was a very good player, but not one of the all-time Jazz greats. Not enough to merit having a jersey retired, although I would put Mrs. Memo in the HOF.

I was a big Okur fan. Outside of his 1st season, when he showed up out of shape, I felt like he gave 100% effort every year after that, even trying to play hurt. He had that one magical stretch when Boozer was out where he and Deron were running the pick and pop to perfection. IIRC, he hit nearly 60% of his 3's for close to a month.

    Best wishes, Memo.
When one door closes, another doesn't open....instead, I find myself being locked in a room with padded walls and no windows.

In all seriousness, Memo might just be the most beloved Jazz player of all time, even more than Stockton & Malone. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about Memo on a personal level, or even about how he played the game (given his limitations).

Best wishes for the future, Memo, and may you have much success in everything you choose to do!

Good memories... Love his reaction after he hit the last clutch 3pt.

....just another guy the Jazz signed/had that owes them a big rebate for underachieving. Stole about as much money from the Jazz as Ostertag and Klinko did!

The Jazz made a shrew move though by trading him to the Nets. It was a great salary dump and created the trade exception used to acquire Mo. Granted, the season after the injury was a waste.

You know, your franchise leader and your most beloved Jazz player might not be the same player. That`s normal.
