Who wouldn't look like an all star playing against Al. Other than Dwight Howard.
It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start. - referring to the Jazz/Bobcats game on 3/1/13

Earl, Randy, and Marvin started the first quarter 0-3, scored a whopping zero points, and finished with a turnover in the first quarter.

Juts a few weeks ago bunch of posters here said that Kanter is 100x better then Koufos, that Kosta sucks, that he avoids physical contacts, yada, yada....Obviously none of them watched any games lately so maybe today was an eye opener for some.
Kanter had arguably best game of the season and yet Koufos played even better.

    IF Koufos is better:

    1) I said trading him was a dumb move and that he was bungled here
    2) He's much, much more experienced at this point than Kanter
    3) He was guarded by Slow Al tonight
    4) He plays on a good team, and as such...
    5) Kanter was one of the three best players for the Jazz tonight and his line is at the same level as Koufos' (who himself had an exceptional night)
    6) THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE WILL CONTINUE TO BE
Playing well is priority #1 and nothing outside of that is really even close. If you're hoping someone else ****s up, then you don't deserve the break.

    1. agree

    3. hm... Kanter was guarded by slow Mozgov coming of injury... not sure who is better defender him or big AL.
    4. Half of posters here thinks Jazz are better team and as such...
    5. Close but Koufos was better.
    6. yup, Kanter may turn better but as of today Kosta is better.

This is Kosta´s fifth season in this League and he plays like crap on most of his games , although this Guy is getting his minutes to develop. If Kanter could get playing time like that, he would turn into a double-double Mashine. Kanter is just nervous, because he knows that, after every mistake he can find his ass on the bench.

And whats youre Problem with Kanter, dude ? The only thing Kanter needs is playing time, to turn into a real Force in oure future.
Why they call him Big Al ? think of it...
    -----------------------------------------------------------

"In practice I’m going against a big great player like Al," Kanter said. "So, whenever I’m on the court with other big men it’s much easier."

    No Kanter ,but more AL

Of course Koufos played better. He had Al guarding him. A prime David Robinson would have obliterated Wilt's single scoring game record against Al tonight.

Koufos is not better than Kanter. He played more and actually has a competent coach.

We really need to fire Corbin before he ruins our young players.
Please FO, Please do the right thing and FIRE CORBIN. Then let all of Millsap, Mo, Tinsley, Watson, and Jefferson walk. Re-sign Carrolle and get a real freaking PG.

    This.
That`s exactly what makes the difference. Dumb Corbin not just limited his minutes last year also limited the way he plays. He didn`t even shoot one 15 or 17 footer for gods sake, now look how comfortably and consistently he hits it. And its not a new thing.. Everyone was shouting at the top of their voice at the draft combine; "this dude got long range!" Corbin is just so dumb to see this and have no vision beside getting a playoff ticket that valid for just 4 or 5 (if we`re lucky) games.

I thought it was dumb trading Koufos because he was 19 years old when the Jazz drafted him. Again Koufos is another example of playing vets over young guys and not developing our young guys. I fear this is going to happen to Burks (another 19 year) and possibly Kanter.

Koufos had a very good game and is a solid player. No he isn't great but he plays within the system and plays hard. After last night's game Jefferson should not be getting big minutes. I can assure you that Kanter and Favors are giving the veteran benefit of the doubt will out produce both Millsap and AJ. Right now both Favors and Kanter are looking over their shoulders seeing when they are going to be taken out. Favors was a beast on defense last night and should have stayed in the game and AJ should have sat his lazy butt on the bench.

Koufos has been in the league how long and played how many more minutes than Kanter last night. I would have just liked it if the Jazz had kept Koufos and developed him and lost enough games to get a higher draft pick (Lillard and someone else) then sign AJ who fills up stats at the expense of his team.
