I love the New Orleans name. Just wait until they start selling underwear with their logo on it; I can't wait to get me some of those Pelican Briefs!

I'm not a fan of Pelican's either and like most NOLA basketball fans, we would love to be the Jazz again, but it's you guy's name now and that is out of the question, but a music based name like "Brass" or "Krewe" for the mardi gras reference would've been more fitting.

I like the logos. I'm sure I'll get used to the name.

I don't like both the colours and the logo...

This mock logo would have been better IMO:

    GIVE THE PEOPLE
    WHAT THEY WANT

I think the name is ok AS LONG AS you back it up with a "fierce" enough logo. But the logo is too safe. It's a nothing logo. The colour is dull, the shape is dull, it's not even distinguishable.

Logo looks like some kind of a ship captain's hat. Seriously, somebody with photoshop skills put a head under it and you will see what I mean.
"I was originally a Jazz fan but since I am getting pooped on so hard on the Jazz forums it is really starting to make me wish Kanter develops into the Kevin McHale potential he has and make the Jazz look bad. Nothing would make me happier at this point." Unidentified Kanter homer on reddit.

I hadn't noticed that, but now that you bring it up, I agree.

Was not fond of them name but I have to be honest. I kind of like the logo and I like the addition of red to the logo.

I agree with Hottnikkkkkkk that it could do with being done a little sharper. Define the edges a bit more. It looks slighlty fuzzy.
