Simple realistic solutions:
#1 Play Burks. No more DNPs. Period.
#2 Start Favors. No reason why he shouldn't. He's our best big.
#3 Serve me a heavy dosage of Turkey. He's ready.
#4 No more Jefferson. Seriously. Time to trade him for literally anything.
#5 Define roles. Corbin is an idiot. You're not "coaching" basketball players. You are there to define roles and make sure players are playing those roles. If they aren't, sit their candy asses down. If they don't like it, show'em the door. Up until now our team hasn't had an identity. We're 5 players each trying to score. Defensively, we're 5 players not looking out for each other. Time to define roles. What is Millsap's role? Who is our G2 guy(s)? It's late in the 4th quarter, it's a key 3rd down, we need to connect, what is our g2 play? When Jerry was here, there wasn't any question what Stockton/Malone or Williams/Boozer/Money Memo were going to do.
#6 If Ty Corbin is unable to do this, ship his candy ass out of here.
#7 Bench players. If it's one of those typical games against New Orleans and you can see guys aren't playing hard, sit their candy asses down. Yell at Dick Bavetta and pick up a T. I can't tell you how many times Jerry jumpstarted his teams with a key sub or tech.
#8 Structure a damn offense. Along with roles, I want to see some identity or semblance of an offense. If Marvin Williams can post up his man, do it. Keep going at it until the defense adjusts.
#9 Along w/#8, I want to see some hot high/low action from our bigs. I don't see that at all. I have no clue why, as all 4 of our bigs are capable. 1 never passes. But the other 3 are pretty unselfish. Kanter dumping down inside to Favors for a pin down dunk ala Gasol to Bynum could be unstoppable. Millsap to Kanter/Favors down low could be awesome. Why aren't we doing this?
#10 Change up the defenses. Get imaginative for crying out loud. Mix up the man, zones, boxes, everything. Like in Football, one can do wonders by mixing up defenses to keep the offense guessing. Our team currently runs the most vanilla defense I've ever seen.
There are 10 simple and realistic solutions that would drastically improve this team.
