Reality check is pretty simple to me, after ten games we are a .500 team that doesn't seem to have a solid plan for the future. Its like Corbin is trying to win now with veterans...except for he isn't really winning all that much. I've seen way to much of Jefferson, Milsap, and Foye and haven't seen enough Kanter, Favors and Burks. We cannot contend with the way we are playing now, not with the minute allocation. We have to make changes and get our younger guys involved so they can improve. Don't see enough movement on offense. We have potential and talent, it just isn't being used and thats Corbins fault.
First of all Basketball prospectus has the Jazz's schedule as the hardest so far, dont know how reliable or where they get their #'s but it seems pretty legit.
1. Dont think playing Burks a ton wins the Jazz more games, would make the game more interesting to watch but thats about it.
2. I agree with this, you try and get Paul on board with this though.
3. He is really up and down this year, from almost great, to really ****ing bad
4. This is a stupid
5. I agree with this, I would like to see more structure when it comes to whats going on Utah is the 8th most efficient offense. Things aren't as bad as you make them out to be.
6. I would like to see Ty be more of a bad ass
7.Agree
8.Once again, 8th most efficient offense behind NYK, MIA. OKC, LAC, LAL, Spurs, and Rockets ....
9.I would love to see more high low and inside outside play
10. Our D needs work, I agree.
Wouldnt it be soooo easy to be an NBA coach?
Regardless of our record I am always ready for the next game. GO JAZZ!!!!

Stop calling people your bro!
completely agre with ya. Sorry but I'm not going through one of those legendary Clipper runs, and the only reason they are relevant now is through trades. Let me stop some of you before say something stupid like, but they drafted Griffin with the #1 pick. Griffin couldn't even win half his games before Paul came in. Do you all want to wait 20 years before we can draft Griffin.
I'm with ya.
14th, according to Sagarin.

Utah (led by BigAl) raised the art of being mediocre to perfection
This.
I agree with the OP that this team is playing ok right now and is on track to finish the season with a pretty good record and make the playoffs, and then get our asses kicked.
My problem is that A. the team is not planning for the future and playing the vets so much right now makes us worse next year when they are off the team and we are relying on the youth without the experience they could be gaining now. And B. They just are not very fun to watch.
I know i enjoy watching the jazz much more when burks, favors, kanter, and hayward are in the game. I dont think our record would be ALOT different if favors and burks got more minutes, but it would definately be a more fun and interesting team to watch...... However it seems like entertainment and future success is being sacrificed so our vets can get better contracts with some other team next year, and we can get swept in the playoffs again.

I, HeavenHarris, hereby pledge to my fellow JFC'rs that I will no longer give out neg-reps. All it does is cause negative things, like fights, drama, bitching, ill will, bad feelings, etc.

I think the Jazz record would be a little worse than it is now if the young guys got more minutes but I am ok with that because it is part of the process of developing your young guys. So you lose but players improve more by playing than watching. Besides the fact that playing allows the organization to truly evaluate their player.
So if the Jazz played Burks last year when they had really no one standing out how much farther along would he be. Now he seems to have lost his confidence and is playing looking over his shoulder because he knows he is going to get taken out regardless of what he does.
For me it is the most annoying thing to watch our young guys sit on the bench when a 8 year vet is clanking shots or playing poorly.
