I agree that having the results in the title wasn't the best of ideas. But if you are on the internet and didn't want to know the results of the fight......well than that was a much worse idea.

Not only would you have to stay away from the net, but pretty much everything. I don't do the non-live sports thing, if I miss....I miss....so I can't relate. But I did get some, "Did you just see that ****?" texts last night and already ran into some people today that were talking about it so I wouldn't clue how to avoid it.
As I said in an earlier post, I think GF's suggestion wasn't a bad one .. but I think he was a bit more mad about it than is reasonable, imo.
I'd really like to see people lay off him, if possible. I've made thousands of posts that are questionable and many times it's because of a bad day.
Would love to see us give GF that respect.

president pkm makes a good point. this helps me when im having a bad day
The inability to get a Mayweather/Pac-Man fight has turned me off boxing. That is the only fight I have any interest in watching. Until that happens I will stick with the UFC.
1. Boxing's structure sucks. Would love for it to have a UFC structure and then it would rule all sports.
2. I Tivo sports events all the time. Great way to cut through all the commericals and crap. But when I do that I make sure I don't get online or have access to anything that might spoil it. Beantown is a moron but not at fault in this context.
3. Free UFC card was great!

It also makes sense not to title threads DARK KNIGHT RISES SPOILER "Did Bane Really Die in Dark Knight Rises?"END SPOILER since some of us would rather wait until the DVD comes out to see movies. I'm not sure if posting the immediate results of a sporting event is bad, but you have posted questionable thread titles when it comes to spoilers. Maybe take a second to think about the thread titles in the future.
I get what you're saying YB and agree. But I would put the blame mostly on myself if I spoiled something like this by looking places I knew might have spoilers.

When I record a sporting event, I give myself that night to watch it. I avoid the TV, the computer, and avoid reading texts. After that, I know I'm going to find out the results. Movies/TV shows are a different thing. Some of the TV shows I watch, I record the entire season and then watch it over a week and I try to avoid the threads for them. If someone gets bent because they read a spoiler in the Walking Dead thread or Game of Thrones, that's their fault for going into the thread. I never went into the thread for Dark Knight Rises because I knew it would have spoilers but I would have hoped that someone would have better sense than to put a possible spoiler in a thread title outside of the thread.
