The Utah Jazz now ranks 29th in the NBA in defensive rebounding

Going down because Favours has been out? Or is this a bigger issue?
Locke has been saying for some time that the wings suck at getting boards.

I think part of the rebounding problem could be because the Jazz are trying to get out and run, so some players are breaking out a bit to soon leaving only bigs to rebound, that and both Millsap and Jefferson seem to be having issues so far this season. Well heck even Kanter and Favors aren't rebounding at as of a high rate as last year.

The rebounding problem is not just up to big men but whole team. I agree with the rest that back court guys gotta help front court players but it's also about defensive scheme. If the opponent team is playing high pick N roll from the top and one of your big men show up for it, your guards gotta make the rotation well enough to chase rebounding. As i see in last matches, all long rebounds go to the teams on offense. Also it's pretty surprising to hear we are 29th in defensive rebounding by looking at our roster. Not just our big men, but all players at the team are capable to rebound above the average in the league.

Favors playing will be a huge advantage to block spurs drivers. We also need Kanter and Jefferson stepping up on D. If we play good D it should translate into good offense. Tire out Duncan. D Blair must be exploited on the offensive end, hes undersized.

    I don't get this stat.
    NBA.com has the Jazz at-
    11th in rebounding differential
    8th in rebounds/game at home
    13th in rebounds/game at road.

I guess that means we get a lot of ORBs cuz we win the total battle an awful lot. Locke is a bit annoying but he doesn't make up stats.

That win against the Lakers just took a hit.

Cavs beat LA last night, and CJ scored 28 pts.

The rotation by Kanter and the follow up rejection by Favors is a beautiful thing to watch. Great teamwork.

    Oh the future.
