"I wish to God she had had an M-4 in her office, locked up so when she heard gunfire, she pulls it out and she didn’t have to lunge heroically with nothing in her hands and takes him out and takes his head off before he can kill those precious kids,” Gohmert said.
As a teacher who practices lockdowns a few times a year, I'm curious as to how much time elapsed from when the gunman entered the building and/or fired his first shot to when he entered that classroom. How much detail as to what went on in the building has been released?
Does anyone have any documented example where an assault rifle was used as protection by a citizen and not the military/police. Not saying banning assault weapons would do anything. Just curious.
assault weapon ban didn't do much of anything. The rate was dropping before and after the ban.

I have to say that the speech by Obama moments ago was very inspiring. I feel exactly how he does.
