Jazz get the top 14 protected pick from 76ers. Probably end up around 16-18 in the draft.

Is there anyone even worth tanking for in the draft this year? I havent seen anyone that really impresses yet. Last year would have been a good year to do it. Anthony Davis and Lillard would have been worth tanking for. And probably a few others.
So the jazz tank, there is no way they can out tank Sacramento, Washington, Toronto, Now Erleans, Charlotte. So the Jazz end up with a 9-12 pick--whats that going to get them? A 22 minute a night bench player or a guy who can't get off the bench?
Even if they beat the odds and end up with a top 3 pick, do you think that guy will play more than 15 minutes a night.
Welcome to 'wait another decade for a franchise player-ville', aka Milwaukee.
May 21- Draft Lottery; June 27- NBA Draft; July 11- FA signing period begins; Oct 11- Preseaon game in Boise
agreed... tanking would benifit basically every oginization in the nba... except utah... even when we tank on accident and get a good playre he gets to sit on a bench like all the other rookies for a few years.. tanking is a failing idea... all aroubnd massive fail. the only plus is that intanking we might actually start winning by playing the best players, but it would be on accident.
Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.

If tanking = playing the young guys.
Then I want to be mayor of Tankville.
I agree with Foye having to go. Sure he's holding back Burks, but the thing pointed out in the picture is the more significant thing, he is not able to defend against larger guards. He's too short to be a starting 2 and too - well his court vision is too bad for a point guard. He is at most a 3 point shooter for spot time, not a starter.
Oh, and no to the tanking, there is lots of time to get into the playoffs still if the team figures out that you can't teach height, but you can teach better shooting (to Burks and Hayward)
There is only a dictator, but I can appoint you engineer of the Tankville Pacific Rail Road Co.'s one direction locomotive.

If you checker board players don't mind, please start your own non-tank thread where you can freely boast of the valor in mediocracy. And your feminine hygeine issues.
This board gets weirder almost daily.
Last year at least there were some sweet players to tank for.
"I'm a moron for thinking the Browns could even sniff 10 wins in a division where the other three teams (two of whom almost always make the playoffs) made the post-season last year. Gyp Rosetti's thee God of football knowledge." - Brown Notes
Tanking is for losers. Those 4 extra games are gonna pay off any minute now. I can feel it.
