Baby step to warm into Tankology:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cn9q82j

Jazz get the top 14 protected pick from 76ers. Probably end up around 16-18 in the draft.

I like that trade.... its a start at least. Upgrade the backup point guard position and get burks alot of minutes at the two. Sounds good!

Is there anyone even worth tanking for in the draft this year? I havent seen anyone that really impresses yet. Last year would have been a good year to do it. Anthony Davis and Lillard would have been worth tanking for. And probably a few others.

So the jazz tank, there is no way they can out tank Sacramento, Washington, Toronto, Now Erleans, Charlotte. So the Jazz end up with a 9-12 pick--whats that going to get them? A 22 minute a night bench player or a guy who can't get off the bench?

Even if they beat the odds and end up with a top 3 pick, do you think that guy will play more than 15 minutes a night.

Welcome to 'wait another decade for a franchise player-ville', aka Milwaukee.

agreed... tanking would benifit basically every oginization in the nba... except utah... even when we tank on accident and get a good playre he gets to sit on a bench like all the other rookies for a few years.. tanking is a failing idea... all aroubnd massive fail. the only plus is that intanking we might actually start winning by playing the best players, but it would be on accident.

No franchise changers. I like a lot of guys out to the 20's .. quite a bit .. but they're all like good 5th/6th guys.

If tanking = playing the young guys.

Then I want to be mayor of Tankville.

I agree with Foye having to go. Sure he's holding back Burks, but the thing pointed out in the picture is the more significant thing, he is not able to defend against larger guards. He's too short to be a starting 2 and too - well his court vision is too bad for a point guard. He is at most a 3 point shooter for spot time, not a starter.

Oh, and no to the tanking, there is lots of time to get into the playoffs still if the team figures out that you can't teach height, but you can teach better shooting (to Burks and Hayward)

This board gets weirder almost daily.

Last year at least there were some sweet players to tank for.

Tanking is for losers. Those 4 extra games are gonna pay off any minute now. I can feel it.

I'm not really a true tanker, though. I'm more of a "last year was the right time to rebuild and at this point who gives a ****" kinda guy.

    Kabongo.

    Rondo/Bledsoe/MKG hybrid.

As a bonus, he will be fully rested going into next season.
