All of the top-five most-used lineups for Utah this year sport a negative +/-. Through December 23, Utah had played 1407 minutes this season, and those five lineups account for 575 of them. That’s over 40% of Utah’s total minutes being played by lineups that can be described anywhere from “barely treading water” to “unmitigated catastrophe

Also nice to see that our best +/- line-up consists of:

Tinsley (Better distributor over Mo)
Hayward (Better than Foye)
Marvin (Good SF fit)
Favors (Perfect compliment to Al)
Jefferson (Perfect compliment to Favors)

That is the type of line-up we should be striving for moving forward.

He didn't! Locke has had a man crush on Burks since before the 2011 draft, why is he backing off now? Everything I see makes me believe Burks can be a player--what is going on behind the scenes that has everyone in the Jazz organization down on him?

If you want factor offensive and defensive rebounding together, Utah rebounds 55.4 percent of all misses without Foye on the floor, and 46.8 percent of misses with him on the floor. You can probably guess the disparity here, but 55.4 percent would be the best in the league, and 46.8 percent would be the worst in the league.

I don't think Randy is entering Roger territory, because I do feel he's been important to us at times this year and he is our best 3-point shooter. Just bring him in for 10-15 minutes a night, gun a few threes, and call it a game.

Locke is such a clownshoes analyst. Not only does he trumpet his own Locke Offensive Rating which absolutely nobody besides himself even looks at, but he just went an entire broadcast "analyzing" the Jazz offensive shortcomings without even once suggesting the problem might be Ty.

Different lineups are not going to solve this mess. We have one of the worst half court offenses in the entire league and a coach who is in way over his head.

Also loved Locke bemoaning the "loss' of Mo Williams. Prior to GS, the Jazz were 5-1 without Mo (if you include an 8 minute game in which he thankfully got injured). 5-1 in only a 30 game sample is relatively significant. Jazz averaged 100 points in those 6 games.

Agreed, the article kind of hints that with some line-up tweaks we'd go from one of the worst rebounding teams to one of the best by benching Randy! Won't happen, but I think this article makes it pretty clear that different line-ups would at least improve our success rate.
