it's probably true that C4/picks come up in every conversation, but i'm not so sure we'll HAVE to give one up. it depends on who's doing whom the favor. for example, if we trade one of our "stars" for a young, low-salary guy and in exchange take back someone who's a little overpaid w/ 2-3 yrs left, then it's the other team that owes US a favor, not the other way around. by trading any of paul/al/mo for anybody who still has money owed after this year, we're essentially gifting the other team some financial freedom, so hopefully they're the ones having to sweeten the deal.
