Why is Sloan hanging around so much?

...he's not seriously thinking of coaching these knot-heads again, is he??? He can't possibly be tired of playing with his tractors and plowing fields already, can he? He's way too old for this type of abuse, isn't he? He can't possibly be enamored with "unwatchable" basketball, could he? Is he being paid by the Jazz front office to be seen at the arena or something?

He can't work on his tractors in the winter.

Truth is he married a Herriman girl so he's gotta be in Utah. And what else you going to do in Utah in the winter? A guy can only go to the Lazy Dog so many times a before that becomes a bore.

Sloan was involved with the organization for over two decades and is close to the Miller family. Simply put, if he wanted to drive a John Deere tractor around ESA during half time, they'd find some way to do it. Like him or not, he's pretty much earned that right.

    You know he misses it.

Winter time doesn't allow much farm work. He seems like someone who can't sit still, and swing on the porch all day.
He has to be doing something. Holding onto to something like that with so much power must have it's withdrawls. See About Schmidt.

If I remember right, his new wife has a teenage son who would be in school right now, so they probably spend most of the time here. Why not go to the game?

Fixed to fit a CJ thread.

Agreed, except he looks like he's going to fall asleep in the stands.

He was at the BYU vs VT game with Johnson and KOC last week. Not that it matter all that much but I guess maybe he likes watching games.
