Garbage time was yucky. It's like having a great meal and then getting a funky aftertaste stuck on your mouth at the very end

Hooray, we're .500. Meanwhile Houston is now 5 over and Portland is 2 over. We're still 10th

Other then the first quarter, I thought this was one of Al's better games.

Burks not a great shooting night, but played good D and ran the offense acceptable while at PG.

Yea, he was ok at point which is a huge improvement over how he looked the last time that experiment was tried.

I know that you have to shoot that, however it´s the first fundamental of Basketball to hit the F..kn bucket. My point of view here is, why a player is playing decent minutes and gets paid millions of dollars on a team, even if he´s not able to do that ?
Why they call him Big Al ? think of it...

    No Kanter ,but more AL

Yes. He hurt his ankle during the garbage minutes vs the Twolves.

I thought Ty's coaching was great today.
He saw that Watson was causing the defense to collapse off him and the Jazz were playing offense 4 on 5. Ty switched it to Burks and the defense respected Burks enough to guard him. Hopefully Ty can be more comfortable with Burks out there because Watson is shooting at Othyus Jefferian levels. Teams are just not gaurding him. It's amazing how little they respect his shooting.

Burks also changed the game defensively. With Hayward at 6'8'' and Burks at 6'6'', all of a sudden our athleticism and height is uncanny and tough to beat. Hayward's floater looks real nice. That was my first complaint about him last year and he's solved it. Good win.

And you are saying to me that AL is showing no effort ?
I see you are sort of new here and for that I will try to help you understand something so you dont beat your head against a wall on this Big Al thing. There are a TON of posters here who, NO MATTER what Al does, hate him..On the other hand, most of these same people will defend Sap if he is 0 for 20 because he tries hard and plays with hustle. The best part is most of these same posters used to HATE Harpring, who did the same as Sap when he was here. Played very hard, with hustle and played above what his talent and size should have let him. Do not think you can change their minds or even get to where you understand why they Hate Al.

All of that said, I think he needs to go. My reasons are to free up time for our young bigs and to get picks. Roll with the youth movement..get rid of him AND Sap please...
but yeah, Big Al is easily our best player and has been for a while. That, also, is illegal to say here.
