    Wow. The green grass mentality.

When you have the worst coach in the league. Pretty much any other option and the grass is actually greener.
Welcome aboard Snyder, Exum and Hood. Here is to hoping this season is more entertaining than the last 3.
    ^^^
I think my hope was fulfilled. I watched 5X more Jazz basketball this year than any of the last 3.

I am curious. Do you possess the human gene that allows one to ponder things one doesn't yet have? You seem very homerish, lacking the ability to constructively question the current hand that is dealt.

    No hate, just sincere curiosity.

Scott Skiles is a mediocre coach who has been a mediocre coach for a while now.

Corbin is mediocre, but I think shows signs of progress. There is still hope for Corbin. Skiles is a proven meh.
    I have forgiven Dowsett

Skiles is pretty good. Made the playoffs several years with the Bulls before Rose came along, backed only by Ben Gordon, Kirk Heinrich, and Luol Deng.

You mean when the East was a complete joke of a conference?

I like Skiles. But that comes from watching him play in college .. tough as nails. No opinion otherwise... sorry for crashing the 'who's the worst coach' party.

True, but they did sweep the defending champion Miami Heat in 2007 who still had Wade and Shaq. Most had predicted Miami would sweep them.

Considering Skiles is an old school coach who isn't afraid to criticize his players, this tells you that the players probably just tune him out after a while.

He may be better than Corbin but I doubt he'd get much more from this team.

Skiles would probably do better coaching in college.
While this may be true to a degree, he gets results: His teams DEFEND (even ones without great defensive talent). What do the Jazz do that reflect good coaching?

I know everyone is just hoping that Ty or whatever entry-level bumpkin will turn out to be the next Popovich or whatever, but that's not going to happen.

In a question of which, it's Skiles easily. But he wouldn't be my first option.

Corbin is better than Skiles, hands down.

    Says Mr. Kentucky

Right. Then we can fire our coach every other year and join the coaching carousel.

A coach who can't get a team with Jennings, Ellis, Gooden, and Illyasova to score? Sounds like a plan.

Skiles is done for 5 years 'till a desperate team wants to give him another shot.
