    Is Big Al Unradable?

    Making any NBA trade is difficult, but I think the Jazz have some complications with trading Big Al. There is 5 weeks to go to the trade deadline and the Jazz have to deal Sap or Big Al.

    Problems with trading Big Al...
    * Big Contract
    * Can only play one position (center)
    * Needs the ball to be effective
    * He's not a star, but needs to be the focal point of the team
    * Can't play defense to save his life
    * Doesn't draw fouls

    I think that Big Al's contract will expire and the Jazz will make him another offer. Is Big Al untradable?

    He's been traded twice.
    Dwight Howard, Steve Nash & Carmelo Anthony all got traded.
    So did Torrey Ellis and Joe Johnson.

    The only untradable player in NBA history was AK47.

    Question is what do the Jazz get in return.
    June 27- NBA Draft; July 7-12 Orlando Summer League; July 11- FA signing period begins; Oct 11- Preseaon game in Boise

    Unraidable? I assume Ghengis Khan would disagree.
    Unreadable? I think he's fairly easy to read.

    I have always believed he would just be allowed to expire. We could trade him, sure, but we'd most likely have to take back garbage worse than AL.

    This is the final year of that contract. That often becomes an asset when trading players.
    It is not that he can't play D it is that he won't. World of difference.

    I would think that someone would be willing to pick up a guy that can score 20 any given night. He has his problems, but he is still good. I dont think the contract is the issue as much as what we'd get back in return. Last thing I wanna see is the Jazz resign him

    even worse would be resigning him and over paying....

    Oh, they will make an offer, but if it's over ten mil I'll have a friggin hernia.

    What about a S&T scenario where the Jazz get a large trade exception? Did the rules on trade exceptions change with the new CBA?
