I'd prefer Lowry but would we/he even resign Calderon long-term here??
BTW, i also think that TOR can get more than Al for Calderon...
Who says no?? http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=autfneq
UTAH: Calderon / Duhon / Morris
LAL: Bargnani / Both M.Williams / Lowry (Picks via HOU/TOR)
TOR: Gasol / Nash / Tinsley
i may quote myself from other treads... sue me!
I, HeavenHarris, hereby pledge to my fellow JFC'rs that I will no longer give out neg-reps. All it does is cause negative things, like fights, drama, bitching, ill will, bad feelings, etc.
Love, not hate, is the answer bros and moes.
LOL Lol breaks his pledge 5 days later hahahaha
jose is a legit, full-time shot creator, something we don't have on our roster even when mo is healthy. he starts while mo is hurts and then after mo gets back, you stagger them so that mo starts, jose comes in and leads the subs (imagine how much we'd excelerate the development of the 4 if they had somebody solid actually passing them the ball instead of earl), and then they finish halves together as matchups allow, with mo playing off the ball a la JET. i've been a huge fan of this trade for months.
problem is, the chances that the two teams swap expiring contracts mid-season is highly unlikely. why would either team want to shake up their teams for two months with the player? just to have bird rights to each respective guy?
check out the jazzbros.com blog for more on the jazz.
Pass on that trade, not without other assets. Might consider Calderon plus Amir Johnson for Jefferson, but even that would be a stretch. Never trade big for small.
One I would almost definitely do is Lowry + Amir Johnson for Millsap + Tinsley/Watson. Toronto gets cap flexibility and a good opportunity to sign Millsap long-term. Utah gets a solid back-up PF so Favors can start and a starting-caliber PG who can fill-in for Mo Williams or takeover long term, on a reasonable contract.
A 2nd rounder will do. Then shed tears of joy.
Eenie-Meenie has badgered me and the mods about removing something he actually said because he's clearly completely sane.
Probably yeah, but we would have to either make another trade for a big man, or cut someone and sign a FA big man.
Only having 3 legit bigs on a roster seems stupid while having 4 PG's.
By my math, that's ~2.
