Difference in contract size. Millsap is underpaid, Jefferson overpaid.

Houston does not have to trade for Millsap since they are the most likely to sign him to a solid contract this off-season, IMHO.

That **** happens, I'm happy for the rednecks, sorry for the Jazz and Sap. They were never meant to be together forever. It always had a deadline.

Houston would be a good fit for both Sap and the team and since Ömer Aşık starts for the Rockets, I would love to watch them together. I also see Sap as if he wants away from SLC since the start of the season. I've emphasized that idea a couple of times now. So Sap might feel better in there as far as I can think of. I think Millsap is an underrated player. And he has a few more good basketball years before his fuel runs out. And I also think, probably this season, he will be traded elsewhere. If that's Houston, I'm happy for both. It's not that bad, after all we have Favors and Kanter here. Let Kanter shoot 3 pt'ers and we will have fun time watching these guys.

This. Their fans have been saying this since game 1.

Moteijunas or Jones (personally i prefer D-Mo) & Royce White (looks like he has no future in Rockets after all that drama, maybe wont have in another team too but its worth give it a try) for Milsap. They have no 1st round draft picks so no picks including. I dont think they'll give up on Parsons for an about to finish contract.

Houston in my mind is the most likely to sign him in the of season. Would fit their system well, and could play him a bit over market value.

I still have a hard time thinking Houston would trade for him when they can very easily pick him up in the offseason.

for whatever reason I still think the Lakers and nuggets won't want Millsap long term.

I still think there's a slight chance to trade could happened with the Lakers for Gasol.

****, I'd strongly consider making them my new team instead of this Holding Pattern Inc.
    (first update) Offseason to-do list:
    (no order)
    1. Let Mo, Foyeeee3, Al (s&t?), Watson, and Tinsley go.
    2. Re-sign Carroll
    3. Draft McCollum, Schroeder, and Giannis (leave the latter two in Europe for a year [maybe two years for Giannis]).
    4. Sign Tony Allen
    5. Try to keep Millsap. If that doesn't work, explore s&t options.
    6. Remove Corbin. Hire Brad Stevens or SVG.
    7. Sign Calderon to a one-year (2 max) deal, or see if the cash-strapped Lakers will let us absorb Nash's last year.

I'm not sure about Houston's salary situation, but certainly if they are close to the tax level, that could be a large factor. It also makes a difference in who you have to send out in return. Houston might find it easier to find $8M in salary to send than $14M.
