Pretty clear who was our best player on the floor tonight and it really felt like he played the bulk of the game right? False another 24 minute night for the best player we had tonight playing great on both ends of the floor and not in foul trouble. Foye again had more minutes (Foye fan here) and Favors was about on par with Tinsley and Marvin Williams' minutes. Ty wants to keep starting Al/Sap, whatever I guess keep doing it, but he needs to be getting into the game halfway through the 1st and play most of the 2nd. Then in the 2nd half same thing get into the game early in the 3rd and into the 4th, maybe rest a few minutes, then back on the floor to finish the game.

The data is pretty plain: The Jazz bench routinely outscores their opponents, while Jazz starters are routinely outscored this season (this was not the case last season). This isn't just a garbage time phenomenon (if Murph's +/- is a decent indicator of garbage time performance, the Jazz get outscored badly). Yes, the bench plays more minutes against bench players, but the disparity in +/- is so pronounced, we should be asking whether the starting/bench lineups are constructed to maximize wins THIS SEASON (irrespective of the damage that is possibly being inflicted on the Jazz's future).

You can't underestimate experience. These guys have been to the playoffs. Without that, there's no way to know what it takes to win on the road. Ty just does the best he can to hold the ship afloat and keep it from sinking with how many young, inexperienced guys we have that are forced into playing 15 minutes/night way before they're ready.

Agreed, and we've been over this. The differential between the bench and the starters is surrounded by a cloud of fog. One of the strongest benches in the league making up for 9th-10th seed starters.
