We can stop adding them in trade discussions for non-playoff teams.
Or people who are wanting to unload money.

I could see a non-playoff team dumping a semi-bad contract and taking a pick for an Al or Sap. I'm sure a lot of teams would love to have Sap for Bird's Rights. Not so sure about Al, but there are going to be bidders on him and someone will want his bird rights if they can be relatively cheap.

I don't agree at all. If those guys were good, on a team with Davis they would be winning at least at an average pace. Either one of them would be an okay bench guy I suppose but they aren't bargains. Lopez isn't ever going to be a good player and Anderson is an overpaid specialist.

If Utah wants to go forward with a stretch 4 they would be better off signing Williams at market value. Robin would be alright as a bench center but that's not worth 4-5 mil when the dude has zero upside.

    Agree to disagree on Anderson.

This is KOC's favorite time of year...while other GM's are working their butts off, he gets a month off, only needing to show up after the deadline to hold his annual, "we always try to make the team better, but there wasn't a deal out there that we really liked. Sometimes the best trade is no trade," press conference.

My apologies to you, Mr. O'Connor. I applaud the outstanding trades you've done each year to improve the team. And you sure are astute in your bargaining tactics. Pure genius how you maximized the Deron deal by haggling on the compensation. I suggest before heading out for a relaxing weekend, you call the other 29 teams in the league and ask them if they'd like to "do something." Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Maybe when you return from the slopes, you'll have a few calls waiting with trade proposals that others have thought up."

""Nets general manager Billy King said the deal came together quickly.

"I had talked to [Jazz general manager] Kevin O'Connor yesterday," he said. "He asked me would I do something. And I said no, then I called him back and asked, 'I wonder if you'll do this.' And he said, 'Let me look at it. We talked a couple times yesterday. And then I guess he visited with his ownership. I visited with mine. And this morning we came to an agreement.""

"Sure Motown, I would love to take your overpaid undersized no defense playing center off your hands. Which one of our talented young players would you like in return? How about an unprotected 1st also. Oh ya, I guess I'll take Paul too, Ill just throw in another young piece and another draft pick and we will each go on our way."

Boston seems to be falling apart, and Sullinger's injury looks like it could have serious long-term ramifications. Add them to the list of teams that are ready for a shake-up.
