Yeah, I know. Zulu posted yesterday that Philly never would trade those for an expiring Al + one of our picks, but now wants Gortat and Dudley for the same?

Don't get me wrong I'd love to have Turner a d Hawes...

My argument is that the is no way Philly would do that trade!!

No way Philly gives him and Hawes up for a guy who can walk next year...

It would be like the Jazz trading Paul and Hayward for Josh smith...

Jazz would never do it Cuz it doesn't ensure us that we'd have josh smith next year and we could end up giving Hayward away for nothing!!

Steve Luhm @sluhm about 22 minutes ago
By the way, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson are attending practice and, presumably, participating. So no trades this morning, at least.

Steve Luhm @sluhm about 29 minutes ago
Jazz GM talking to reporters after practice. A little unusual. Let's see what he has to say.

Steve Luhm @sluhm about 24 minutes ago
Lindsey on trade talk: Says activity level is normal. "We have a job to do."

Steve Luhm @sluhm about 21 minutes ago
Lindsey: Any decisions that are made are "weighted for 12-24 months out."

Bill Oram @tribjazz 4 minutes ago
LIndsey says Jazz are being cautious with Hayward's injury, won't jeopardize 600 games for the benefit of 6.

Jody Genessy @DJJazzyJody 1 minute ago
Jazz will continue to be "disciplined to the threshold" of player flexibility Kevin O'Connor built, Lindsey said.

Bill Oram @tribjazz 3 minutes ago
Lindsey was asked if Mo Williams could be the point guard of the future. He said, "Yes he could."

Bill Oram @tribjazz 4 minutes ago
Lindsey said " there's a natural tension" between winning now and building for the future.

Bill Oram @tribjazz 3 minutes ago
Lindsey was effusive in praise for Tyrone Corbin, repeated that he is the right coach for this team.

Bill Oram @tribjazz 2 minutes ago
Lindsey has not been shy about saying the Jazz are in a "rebuilding process." But playoffs clearly still a priority.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mellow again.

Good find on the rumors Mellow.

Noticed he said Mo "could" be the PG of the future not that he "will" be. Saddened at the hype for Corbin. I have not seen what they are seeing. Glad to see the veiled reference to Hayward being a long term Jazz man.

The most telling line of the tweet updates was:
"Jazz are in a "rebuilding process."

Big Al and Sap both can't be in their future plans. If Lindsey believed that they were the core then I don't think he would have used the rebuilding line.

Yes, the Jazz are clearly rebuilding, that is why we routinely see the young guys playing ahead of the many veterans who will be FA in July.

Yes that was sarcasm. Yes, I believe the Jazz's biggest problem this season is that they have not adequately conveyed their goals, mission to the fan base, and that has lead to fan confusion and caused the fans to 'check-out'. In recent weeks I have noticed more effort by KOL to reach out and try to explain what Jazz are doing.

Agreed. We are at the crossroads. It seems that the majority of fans here want to go in a different direction than we are seeing on the court. If that is the case why aren't the young guys getting more time?
I'm curious to know what is being said behind closed doors.

To me Lindsey's line was the first real peek into possibly what they are thinking.
If he was happy with Sap and Big Al I think he might say something like re-signing them is priority number 1, and we want to build around them.
