There was a time when the Jazz had no tradeable players. Now we have plenty.
Greg will pay the LT if the Jazz are contenders. Great news.
Just ran into KOC at work. Had a sick Jazz warm-up suit on. Any who, I walked up to him and said "You've got a busy week ahead" He just chuckled, patted me on the back and said "yes, yes I do. Wish us luck". Then I stated I'm a huge Jazz fan. He simply said "Thanks".
So nothing major, but cool none the less.
Young bigs are young. Meaningless games are meaningless and don't make you grow as much. The Jazz had a lot of meaningful games to end last season and are again having meaningful games. Corbin is very experienced as assistant and player and has done a great job.
only three more games max for al in a jazz uniform
hahahahaha, just kidding, more like 300.
Chris Sheridan on 1280 the Zone. Thinks Al still goes to SA Spurs. Will make Spurs like Duncan & Robinson days. Al will play defense for the Spurs because of the coach. Al's rep around the league is that he doesn't play defense, but he can if properly motivated. (Back-handed insult at Jazz coaches). Thinks that Jazz could find a better deal, but maybe not what the Jazz are looking for and Spurs deal will be on table until the tradedeadline.
Splitter is skilled back-up, Stephen Jackson would be scorer, Patty Mills is fast.
Thinks Kanter will be a max player.
Ridinour deal is dead. He likes Will Bynum to the Jazz better--(me too My pg acquisition hopes Will Bynum, Aaron Brooks).
Because the new CBA has shorter contracts means that in the next 2-3 years up to 40% of the entire league will be a FA each summer.
May 21- Draft Lottery; June 27- NBA Draft; July 11- FA signing period begins; Oct 11- Preseaon game in Boise
FWIW, I'm just as keen on Splitter coming off our bench as Gortat. I don't hate the SAS deal, but I think there could be something better out there for Al.
I also think Kanter could be a max player--a high-energy Kevin Love with more defensive intensity and minus the 3-ball.
Ridnour doesn't help us.
Short list at #14: CJ McCollum, Dennis Schroeder, Archie Goodwin, Kelly Olynyk
Short list at #21: Steven Adams, Giannis Adetokunbo, Sergey Karasev, Nate Wolters
2nd round: Carmichael, Hardaway Jr., Adonis Thomas, James Southerland
I'm pretty high on Splitter. If the SAS deal as reported is on the table and the Jazz do nothing then we will have just witnessed a staggering work of incompetence.
Playing well is priority #1 and nothing outside of that is really even close. If you're hoping someone else ****s up, then you don't deserve the break.
And that reported Ridnour deal was just awful.
