I will believe what the raptor board thinks before our board. They watch every game. They know.

The Raptors like DeRozan. I think he's so-so, kind of a slightly poor man's Iguodala. His game is slashing though.
Short list at #14: CJ McCollum, Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Giannis Adetokunbo

Short list at #21: Glen Rice Jr., Archie Goodwin, Nate Wolters, Erick Green

2nd round: Tim Hardaway Jr., Adonis Thomas, James Southerland

I would love Derozan. He can't shoot 3's, but his mid-range is good, he can post up, he is showing he can pass.

Hayward is a better defender and three-point shooter than Derozan. Also, Derozan signed a 4-year $40,000,000 contract extension.

If the Jazz didn't match Matthews' deal, then I hope they wouldn't take on Landry's. It is basically the same contract for a lesser player.

Burks has the potential to be better than DeRozan, so I would rather the Jazz give Burks minutes. I would add that it depends on what they are giving up for DeRozan. A Pick plus Bell? Done.

Didnt he score like 35 on us this year ? He is ok, not a star but if he can know his role he could be a valuable asset .... but either way **** him

You should be watching the games and not the roster. Fields is horrible shooter ( made 1 3-pointer this season so ) and Derozan's shooting is much improved. Granted, Fields had nerve entrapment and surgery on his elbow to fix it but still... Derozan is way better shooter then Fields.
To compare their jumper's effFG%. .430 vs .310. It is not even close.

I like DeRozan, but is he even available? I've only seen about 5 raptors games this year and he seems like a weaker version of Granger. Even if he was I'm not sure I'd want to give up the assets it would take to get him. And as others mentioned, Fields is good, but has a horrible contract.

Is there anything out there even indicating DeRozan is available at all?

Landry Fields is the kind of meh contract the Jazz could take in a trade along with a player and pick they actually do want.
