I love Burks, I don't see him as being a PG. Defense is the main issue. I'm not comparing him to Manu (repeat: not comparing), but Manu can't play point. At the same time, I wouldn't rule it out and it would be incredible if he could. But I think his future is in taking the reins off to drive, control the ball, and break the offense. He can kill as a driver, the 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 PnR games, not so much as the PG who has to recognize defenses, find the mismatches, drive and kick.
Those 3 things are easily teachable and tuned.
Find mismatches- Isiaha Thomas guarding Big Al? Ok, easy enough. Biyombo guarding Milsap? Ok, easy enough.
Drive and kick- So all I have to do is drive hard to the basket and pass to the opposite 3 corner and someone's already there? Sweet.
Recognize defenses- Ok, so Jamaal Tinsley is guarding me? Wait, did I just walk past him as I was dribbling? Yes I did. He is slow.

He has a GREAT handle on the ball, and keeps his nose up. He may not be the 2nd coming of Stockton at the point, but with him on the court instead of Earl or Tinsley, the sum total of the basketball ability the Jazz have on the floor goes way up.don't see him as being a PG.
That's why he, Hayward, Millsap, AJ, and Favors should start. We'd never lose a game.
