Eric Bledsoe

You need a player that can play. The guy averages 1.7 stls and .9 blocks (2.8 & 1.4 /36). He rebounds extremely well, is shooting 41.5% from three, and showed that he can pass the ball as well in the latter part of his starting role, where he started to thrive. He also drives extremely well. He had a game of 23 & 10, 17 & 9, followed by a 27, 6, 3, 6, 3 game. Bledsoe, Hayward, SF, Favors, and Kanter would be a very exiting starting group if nothing else and has the potential to be very good/great.

I am not ONLY saying that we need just a pass first point guard but they also need to be able to knock down the 3 ball, and Eric Bledsoe CAN NOT with any regularity (30% career from 3), and we need a point guard that can shoot, because it won't help Favors or Kanter in the future when teams are sagging off Bledsoe for no room for Favors or Kanter to do anything with because they won't respect Bledsoe's shot.

You all that want Eric Bledsoe just want to SETTLE for this kid because the Jazz can't get any other young point guards right now except to wait for the draft when we can kind of choose what kind of point guard we want like Trey Burke. When Bledsoe is at best, a sixth man off the bench on a championship caliber team, NOT a starting point guard. Trust me I like his high flying ability and being able to get to the rim but if he can't hit a long range shot with regularity then teams will lay off of him and give him big space to play tighter defense in the paint, and that will spell trouble come playoff time.

Some had reservations about Harden as well. Granted Bledsoe is nowhere near Harden's level but we'll never know until we hand him the key.

You seem to know the most about this kid. What do you think separates him from guys like Nate R other than size?

What I mean is why is he better than average over the better sized chucky guards like Jennings who come and go.

I don't know if he's better, but what I know is he's young, raw, and as far as athletes go he's in a rare company of the likes of a Westbrook, James, or Griffin. He has all the same gifts these guys have of not only being ultra athletic but also having a special combination of speed, power, and raw explosion, and physical skills. If he ever gets consistent minutes he could be in that rare company. Is that not worth the risk to find out what he can turn into with the opportunity of being a full time starting pg.

Eric Bledsoe seems to have a knack for getting after the ball defensively and for a PG that is a huge quality, add the fact that he can absolutely jump out of the gym and run with the best of them.
He's young(23)and the sky is the limit for this kid if given the right opportunity. I believe Utah can provide this. His shot does need a little work but is not as bad as previously mentioned and with Hornacek coaching him and hopefully a summer with Stock, Bledsoe could develop into a fantastic player.
