From the little I read I think One Brow's point would be better served if he used the term tribalism instead of racialism that is so close to racism that is pretty much impossible to separate between the two. Not the idea behind the word but the words themselves. They're so similar it will cause a visceral reaction from ppl.

If this nonsense is correct then wouldn't it also apply to mental and emotional attributes. African americans were bred to be subservient to authority, less intelligent, less independent and less intellectually curious?

I highly doubt that a few centuries is anywhere near long enough to affect such a substantial change in the genetic makeup of a people.

That's how it is used by people who stody the phenomenon. Dictionaries are great for looking at popular conceptions, less so if you want to discuss concepts in detail. Also, there is nothing in your definition to indicate it is an individual belief, as opposed to a cultural belief (that is, part of the milleu of beliefs associated with the members of a given culture).

Naturally, cultural associations are an extension of individual associations. Naturally, you can't separate them. That does not prevent you from distinguishing them.

I expect nothing more than denial from you, though. Feel free to refuse to distinguish the two concepts. Feel free to misunderstand me when I discuss them. Feel free to think you are making some sort of contribution to the dialogue when you post based on those assumptions. You only need ot convince yourself, after all.
