I'm Back: Toronto Raptors at Utah Jazz Wednesday, January 25th - 7 PM

Hopefully this should be a reason why I should make game threads from time to time.

    Toronto 4-12

Great at dodge ball. Bad at basketball.

    Against

    Utah 10-5

    Utah Jazz's Sidney Lowe

Behold everyone, come watch and see
How the Utah Jazz sting like a bee
They'll dance and flutter and at times they'll kill it
We'll scratch our heads when Boone asks, "what's a skillet?"
The Italian guy is coming to town
He can shoot and score, but we won't let him rebound.
Leandro Barbosa runs like my nose
He's fast and he's quick, but ultimately he blows.
Demar Derozan looks like Michael Jackson from before
Ed Davis makes Jeremy Evans look like muscle galore
Canadians can smoke some dope with GVC
But when all is said and done, the Raptors drink pee.
    Keys to the game:

Convince Toronto into trading Jose for Devin.

    Go Jazz

I'll admit, I was skeptical at first. I was leaning toward a let down with those pathetic first couple of pictures, but the Chucker picture along with the poem saved the day. +13 Archibald, well done.

    Utah's Enes Kanter

Matt's hair is like unto Porter Rockwells'. If he doesn't cut it, the Jazz won't blow.

    Nice OP, hoser.
Someone asked if a center can still be a difference-maker in today's NBA, and Shaq said, "No. Not shooting jumpers."

Sidney Lowe is one snappy dresser.

Maybe we can convince them to take Harris and leave Calderon while they are here?

Three days off. I'd love to see the young guys putting in a lot of extra time on days like these.

This does seem to be a game we might drop over the last few years, but I like the fact that we are only losing to good teams this year much better. Let's keep it going.

The Jazz disappointed me with their lack of defensive attitude in starting quarters. They should come out and destroy Il Mago-less Raptors (I do not know if he comes back until Wed.) who will be playing 2nd game of a b2b. Contain DeRozan and limit easy baskets for Barbosa, match the energy of their young, inexperienced bigmen on boards = blowout. The new coach of Raptors seems to take a lot of pride in defense and his team has shown improvement on defense compared to previous years.

And, lastly, I do not aprrove of a trade for Jose -the Matador- Calderon. If the Jazz are aiming at playoffs or a PG who can score and create within a structured offense, Jose is not the answer. No D, no playoff experience, no toughness, no major upgrade over Harris.
