Lyles will mean more to winning than Kanter ever will. Plays the game the right way. Kanter will put up numbers like he always does, but we know the rest of the story.

If he is suspended for this that will be what 2-3 games in 2 seasons? I can live with that.
 
I doubt Booker would have done this in the regular season and I doubt he does it again. This **** cost money.

I played soccer at elite level for many years and I'm not in favour of unsportsmanlike conduct, even if it is a Jazz player.

It is good that he plays aggressive but sometimes he goes too far.
 
I suppose we'll hear by Thursday whether or not he's suspended. I think he gets at least a game.

Didn't mean to like but his suspension is guaranteed, I'm guessing 3 - 5 games and I think it's deserved.....I love that he did it but he's definitely gonna pay a price for it.

That's some straight dope. Lyles benefits by getting playing time, and the Jazz will let Booker walk anyway next summer because the guy has earned a raise.

Lyles is more talented and has more tools. He will cost $3 million per year for the next 4 years.

The Jazz' front court is going to kill it this year no matter how many fights Booker gets into. He could be suspended for 40 games and the Jazz will still be able to match up with most teams.
 
I probably the only one who didn't like it a bit. It looked kinda lame - you either act cool and stare doing nothing, bitch slap or hit with a fist. Booker ended up doing neither of that just barely brushing Hibbert's forehead with a wide swing making it look bad but being absolutely nothing. He ended up hurting the team if gets regular season suspension.
 
I love Booker but this was your typical bitch swing and back up move. Granted, the female ref intervened pretty much immediately but still, a little weak.

If you're gonna swing, just go all out.

That said, I still love it. WE'RE TAKING NO ****ING PRISONERS THIS SEASON.
 
*shrug, I think it's more embarrassing to get slapped if you are the bigger guy.

A closed fist would likely be 10 games. A slap might be 5 after Hibbert instigated.

I agree with you bro, I didn't like it at all. My gf even said it was a bitch move lol.
 
I am all for Booker being physical. I think the Booker reaction to Hibbert wins a lot more games than the Hayward wet willy reaction. It has an effect on every player on both sides of the floor. For the Jazz, they know they are not the team that has to take it, because Booker is not going to let it slide. The opponents get thrown off, cuz they just got disrespected and in most cases they don't dare do anything about it.

I'm not saying seeking it out is ok, but when it comes looking for you, I like how Booker addresses it.

but dumb move to swing at the head
this was an over-reaction and while just a preseason game
don't want to see this over-reaction during the season.
push back, hip to the groin, yell in his face...
no bitch slapping or swinging
 
along same theme...
Love Booker, but think he will be expendable as season goes on
with development of Lyles and with size of Withy and Pleiss,
think I'll revise my estimate, downward, of how much Booker will play as the season goes on
