It sounds like Gordon Hayward’s time with the Utah Jazz could be limited.

HoopsCritic.com’s Brian Geltzeiler reported Wednesday morning that the Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward is unhappy in Utah and wants to be traded. According to Geltzeiler, the Jazz are “actively” trying to move him.

If the Jazz do trade Hayward, the Boston Celtics certainly seem to make sense as a potential trade partner. Boston owns eight draft picks in Thursday night’s draft, including the No. 3 overall pick. Not only that, Hayward has an obvious connection to Boston. He played for Celtics coach Brad Stevens at Butler before being drafted by the Jazz in 2010.

ESPN.com reported late Tuesday night that the Celtics are trying hard to trade the third pick, and Hayward was one of the players they were interested in acquiring. However, the ESPN.com report indicated that the Celtics — and a handful of other teams — were told Utah wasn’t looking to move the player. So we’re either dealing with conflicting reports or the situation recently changed.

Hayward was the No. 9 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and has established himself as a very solid pro player, especially on the offensive end. The 26-year-old averaged a career-high 19.7 points per game in 2015-16 with a .433 shooting percentage.

One potential drawback for the Celtics or any team interested in trading for Hayward is his contract. He’s signed through 2018, but he does have the ability to opt out of his contract following the 2016-17 season.

This guy, from what I understand, makes things up a lot in an attempt to be relevant. Not saying this is true or false but it's suspect.

Tony Jones called this report "garbage"
Jody Genessy said there is nothing about this report that is true.

We have no idea if this guy is reporting something he legitimately heard. BUT, I do think it could be true. IF it were true, and you were the Jazz, what would you do?

I would make sure that trusted sources denounced the speculation in order to drive up Hayward's value. Hell, I might have even leaked the story through this guy if I was confident that Gordo was going to opt out in a year and go somewhere else. That way, numerous other teams would inquire and I would take the best of all offers. All while denying that I was fielding offers from anyone.

This story could have some legs, folks.

This is the guy who was called out by some GMs as a fraud.

John Hollinger(who rarely ever speaks about anything let alone about journalists) PERSONALLY named him and called him out as a liar and a fake journo with no sources.

I doubt it as it does not match the Jazz FO

I would trade for all 8 of there picks plus 1 of Bradley Thomas or Crowder. Then I trade all 8 picks to either Los Angeles or Philly for the 2 or 1 selection. LA is masters at drafting like they did Kobe they can slide to 3 from 2 an find a all star.

Implying Boston hasn't already tried that. Btw, Ingram or Simmons would be a successful pick if they are ever as good as Hayward is now, and there's no reason to believe he's peaked yet either.
