I know this is the wrong forum but the jazz will have 1 less fan next season. My wife has lost her fight with cancer. Her lungs have stopped working today and it is just a matter of hours before she passes up here at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

We are just saying our goodbyes and we will let her go to join our gentle giant jake on the other side. She was an amazing woman, spouse, mother and daughter.

She always thought of others even as she fought against the cancer. She is loved deeply and will be missed.

How sad, Croc. Words cannot express our sorrow for you.

With Crocodile Dante's permission and Moe's brilliant idea, we are asking for JazzFanz to unite and contribute to his family's GoFundMe campaign. The link is below. If you donate at least $20, we will give you a free lifetime Premium membership on this site as well. I realize that doesn't mean much but wanted to provide a little extra encouragement. Again, our combined condolences to Croc Dante and his family.

Terrific idea. Makes me think of this Joseph Smith story:

“I was at Joseph’s house; he was there, and several men were sitting on the fence. Joseph came out and spoke to us all. Pretty soon a man came up and said that a poor brother who lived out some distance from town had had his house burned down the night before. Nearly all of the men said they felt sorry for the man. Joseph put his hand in his pocket, took out five dollars and said, ‘I feel sorry for this brother to the amount of five dollars; how much do you all feel sorry?’”

I know we go at it talking hoops but seriously I am so sorry for your loss. I couldn't even imagine how you are feeling but remember she will always be looking out for you from up above. She sounded like an amazing woman and you will be in my prayers and thoughts. Stay strong knowing she is always looking out for you

The town they hung him in is where my grandmothers family was from. They stormed that jail and took him away.

Done (plus some extra). And shared on my Facebook page.
I mean how could you not donate?

I know from experience we have some very generous people here on jazzfanz..... We should be able to get thousands and thousands of dollars to crocodile dante and help him with at least the financial side. (Hopefully some of the posts in this thread help a little with the emotional side too)

Please donate. And then share it on Facebook too.

Right now the go fund me account has 40 donations and about $3000.

Let's see how high jazzfanz can make those #'s get.

Done as well, dont let international currency scare you off (international posters as I am) the site takes USD$ but it converts fine...

Way to go jazzfanz. I'm proud to be part of this place, as of this specific moment in time.
