I'd take Hayward over Kirilenko. He's the best SF the Jazz have had since I've been watching. Maybe Dantley but seems he mostly played PF.

Usually these theoretical rankings mean nothing, but it is however worth mentioning that this years' all NBA selections can have huge implications on the Jazz future. If somehow Gordon maintains the hype and is being selected to one of the 3 all NBA teams it gives Utah a tremendous advantage in offering him much more than any other team under the new CBA.

Definitely played like a top MVP candidate last night. Good job Gordon, let's keep it rolling.
Hayward is definitely going to move up the ladder if he keeps playing like this.

LOL...AK had Dwill, Boozer, and Memo around him. Plus the offense did not go through AK. AK has the better skill set we have never featured a small forward before we just live in a different time. Put back those three and Hayward would be around the forth option. That being said he is playing well and consistent right now. Hope we keep him as a reasonable price. Not max he isn't the best piece to our current team Rudy is the most important piece. If he does leave I think we will be fine with the rest of the players we currently have picking up his load.

Not sure I agree he'd be the fourth option, but he sure would open things up for the other three. If teams couldn't double him to the extent they do he'd be even better, and I don't think anyone here doubts he's a true all-star. Also, Rudy is a great player but Gordo makes him better drawing the defense to him and opening up Gobert for lobs and lay ins. He hustles and he cares about the success of the team. Don't remember Boozer being that concerned about anything but himself.

Nice post. You must be new here, because Mission Accomplished would never fail do degrade Hayward and he'd never admit to him being a true all-star.

Great post I'm not a Hayward guy. I don't see him getting doubled that much at all. But, he has done a good job playing his role and his stats are at an all time high. I don't see him leading us to the promise land of the finals. Unless he keeps most of the current young talent then we will be in trouble. He cannot carry a team he is not that type of player.

Malone and stockton didn't lead us to the promised land either.
No one is saying hayward will singlehandedly win us title.

There are some real sensitive posters around here. They seem like Hayward is there bff. They can trash every other player on the team except for Hayward. I call them hypocrites they call me a troll. I'm glad there are posters that can have a discussion instead of pouting when they don't agree.

But, Malone nor Stockton got max money. Heck Ostertag made more than Malone. We put all our money into Hayward then some real talent is going to walk.

Yes, they were alphas Malone average 30 pts a game. Stockton was the general on the floor.
Right now we have a defensive alpha in Golbert who deserves Max and lots of good to great young players. Hayward might be great but he is no alpha. He is like the Byron don't call me Bryan Russell of the Jazz with Stockton and Malone.

But stockton and Malone weren't good enough to get us to the promised land. That seems to be your problem with maxing hayward. Max Malone or stockton and you have the same problem on your hands.
