This season has been great. The have met expectations. I feel really good about our team. Hopefully we can get another big piece this summer. If we do that we will be legit contenders. Exciting!

Yes. Not thrilled, but the goal of this team IMO was to get to the 2nd round. They did. And the Warriors are an absolute juggernaut now. I hate the fact they are for the Durant factor, but it is what it is.

Yeah. We've exceeded expectations already. DL isn't planning on trotting the exact same squad out next year. He'll be working to improve the team. Things are looking fine.

Hey. You're super cute and Im thankful for you.

I'll be happy, but also ending with a sour taste in my mouth.

Like after I finish a unicorn frappacino.

It'd take a few days but I'll be very happy whenever our time comes. Only thing to be upset about should be injuries.

I cant believe how many people voted yes.

50+ wins, getting to the playoffs for the first time in 7 years, making it through the first round in a roller coaster series—all very satisfying to me. The Warriors are a team on another level as far as I can see. I think we can be more competitive than we were Tuesday, but overall I'm being slightly hopeful but more realistic. Should I not be happy until the Jazz have a season where they beat the best team in a generation? Win a championship? I'd love to see that happen, but my fandom and satisfaction with the team isn't tied exclusively to those things. Does that unsettle you in some way? Is there something about it that seems off to you?

I'll be happy this season no matter what. I love spring in Utah. You never know if you gotta wear a fur coat or shorts an flip flops. I went turkey huntin down south an was in 3 inches of snow one day an a tank top the next.

Depends on how it happens, they could get swept but have like 2 games in their grasps and lose it on some shotty officiating.

Thats very different from;

If they get demolished in 4 straight games(a la the 2012 playoff series), then the answer is an obvious NO. Because (as I've said all along) whats the point of win-now moves if you're really just a pretender all along, to me that'd be a crystal clear signal of "OVERPLAYING YOUR HAND".. That'd also signal the Rockets are easily more positioned to try and upset, and IIRC they were projected to win at-least a handfull less games than Utah this season.

You don't do "Win now moves" just to win in the first round, thats just a simple gesture. The idea is to be truly competitive.

This is a pretty good point, except they had the added pressure of securing the confidence of of a key piece (Hayward) and so they needed to show legitimate progress this year. In that sense it is a success. I think they could have tried to mix in more development, and even a sweep to a super team (maybe the best team ever) doesn't impact them making the kind of move that would be needed to truly contend. They have to get another All-star or better level player to truly contend with the Warriors. So they achieved their short term goal of securing Hayward, sacrificed some internal development, but kept enough flexibility to get a 3rd star if one becomes available.

Not a perfect result, but a pretty good one, overall.

I thought the Jazz battled hard yesterday. I'm proud of them. It's hard when you're playing a team that has 2 of the top 5 players on the same team.

I'm hopeful they can grab one win in Utah based on the first two games.

Getting swept is never something I'm happy with, but getting to the second round of the playoffs is HUGE and something I'm very very happy with.
Hayward making the all star team, Rudy probably making an all NBA team (should be 1st and should win DPOY but thats a whole different story) seeing Quin evolve and get better and better as a coach, that playoff series really showed how great of a coach he is.

Just...everything with this team, yes I am happy. Utah seems to be getting a bit more respect as a legit team. Crowd is always way more pumped in the arena.

I for one at least expect some wins since we're better than the Blazers.
Blazers lost by an average of 19 points per game against the warriors. So far we have lost by an average of 12 points per game.
So you are right, we are better than the warriors.
