Our PF problem

The Red Priestess is going to disrobe and perform a healing ceremony and the once corpse of Derrick Favors is going to rebound into beast Favors .. problem solved

Just saw a DX strengths video on Mitchell and now I'm high on him. LOL.

Now you're getting it. Watch the interview video as well and listen to this guy. I'm cautiously optimistic about Bradley, but I am ****ing psyched about Mitchell. This dude is going to make something of himself.

Good draft, but with Lyles out of the picture our PF spot is even thinner. What do you all expect to happen between now and the start of camp with respect to the PF position?

We still have free agency and trades. I wouldn't sweat it for now.

A few options here. Are we looking for Patterson type traditional stretch 4s or for big wings who can switch and stretch the floor?

I wonder if Boris would be OK returning for the vet min? Like... waive him and then get him on an exception? For depth if nothing else.

Yes... I think that happens actually unless his salary is needed for trade.

I know the cliche is draft the best player available, but I think that is ham-fisted, flawed logic, and the Jazz addressed precisely 0 of the concerns I would've identified as pressing, even critical.

So I sure hope they have a plan. I hope they know that Hayward is leaving or isn't, because that's what it looked like tonight, that they aren't concerned about improving the team that existed last year in any substantial way.

Maybe the best way to put it is tonight seemed like a very Orlando Magic style performance of the Jazz tonight: pieces that are awkward fits, fill no need, aren't shooters.

Anyway, I really don't know anything and will just hope that these moves were actually really good. Taken totally out of context of an already-existing team, this was a good draft.

...

I hope. I don't know, I hate perimeter players that can't shoot. Drive me up the ****ing wall.

We needed a penetrator more than a shooter indeed which we got. And Bradley is a backup for Gobert.
So if they address PG - PF needs in a trade or free agency, everything is good.
I would actually get millsap and ricky rubio/bledsoe.

Favors and Burks for Aldridge and Green? Trade Neto for Beverly. Bring back Williams to finish up his career? Re-sign Jingles. Also sign Mbah a Moute so they don't have to deal with him in the playoffs.

Beverly, Exum, Williams
Green, Hood, Mitchell
Hayward, Ingles, Johnson
Aldridge, Mbah a Moute, Bolomboy
Gobert, Diaw, Bradley

****ing Finals.

100M luxury tax bill!

I'm aware. That's why I asked the question. I'm especially interested in what a budding GM such as yourself has to say. Who are the possible targets, in your opinion?

is there any chance we can get millsap? or he will be asking too much ?

Hopefully we can do better than 36 year old JJ, Favors' corpse, and a D league scrub. Something needs to be done.
Who is the d league scrub? Bolomboy? iirc he was a badass in the d league.
Please don't speak of The Bolomboy like that anymore.

What's the tax bill on this lineup?

Rubio/Exum/Neto
Ingles(@$12)/Hood/Mitchell
Hayward(@Max)
Millsap(@$25)/JJ/Bolomboy
Rudy/Bradley

What about if you sub Beverly for Rubio?

If we're going to trade, we'll be trading for a PG.

I would think Pat Patterson is a good target. Maybe even Ryan Anderson, but I doubt it. Nikola Mirotic is worth a strong look imo. I think James Johnson from Miami would do a good job, but we would have to trade Favors. I still like Mike Muscala, but strictly as a backup.

I don't think you can trust Bolomboy with minutes against good teams.
