Well ... they just traded down to draft a potential star that plays the exact same position as Hayward. I can see why Celtics fans think it's in the bag.
Who they could EASILY flip to Indiana for Paul George if Hayward signs with them.

If Paul George agrees to an extension with Boston (only way Boston would do that) he would have to take a 7 million per year pay-cut.

Ouch, didn't know that. Would there be an "understanding" by PG and the Celtics about him re-signing for the max as a FA? Of course if they have PG, IT and GH all at $30M+, Boston would be well into the tax to keep any semblance of a roster together.

been listening to a couple of Celtics podcasts, and they just think the only way he won't be on the Celtics next year is if the Celtics decide they're going in another direction

Hopefully Griffin goes to the C's to at least shift a little balance of power to the east, George goes to the Cavs for a year

Gone baby gone.

I don't want to speak ill of a jazzman so I will save my critique and evaluation until after he is gone.

I think the Jazz will make a move that makes them the #2 team in the West, and Hayward will stay on a 2+1 max deal.

In case it hasn't been posted.

Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) tweeted at 4:29 PM on Sun, Jun 25, 2017:
League sources: Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets have discussed a three-way deal that would land Paul George in Cleveland and Kevin Love in Denver

I keep going back to the emotion he showed in that post game interview when the crowd cheered him on. And then when he said its meant a lot the fans have been supportive through the tough times and never quit on he and faves,,, How he's grown up here in Utah. The support Jazznation showed him in the waning minutes of the Golden State Series, his relationship with Quin... and even some of his teammates here. Hopefully it all meant as much as I thought it did. Hopefully he'll stay,

I always felt that emotion was due to him knowing in the back of his mind that he was leaving. Hope I'm wrong.

Wow, FA doesn't start for another week, the Jazz Summer League doesn't start until July 3rd. What is Danny doing in town so early?

I hope he had a meeting at 50 North Temple, and they call him on a mission to New Zealand starting Wednesday.

Someone needs to follow Ainge around 24/7, making sure there's no funny business going on here.

I nominate Gobert. I want to see the Stifle Tower slap the phone out of his hand anytime Ainge says "Hi Hayward..."

If Hayward is all about the awards, it is better for him to stay in Utah....

No Celtic made the all Defensive Team. Rudy playing in Utah made the first team and was second in overall votes.

I don't think anybody knows what Hayward is doing. Hayward isn't going to tell anyone about it. His camp(like the Jazz)have done a pretty good at keeping things tight lipped.

Here is my best guess:

I don't think he is dead set on staying or leaving. I think he has a lot of IF-THEN situations in his head, depending on what Utah or Boston will do. If the Jazz made major moves that make them a contender, I think he stays. If the Jazz don't improve at all maybe he leaves.

Worst case scenario, I think Hayward would let DL what he wants to do. He seems like that kind of guy. I think Hayward would have already said "Listen guys, I appreciate the time, but I think I am going to Boston."
