Options for the Jazz to add a stretch 4

Everyone talking like we need a stretch 4. But what are some realistic options?

Ryan Anderson?....too expensive

Kelly Olynyk?......Celtics probably match now.

Pau Gasol?......Expensive/Going back to Spurs most likely.

Those are the only guys I can think of. Not sure how the Jazz address this. Lyles was supposed to be that stretch 4 off the bench.

The Celtics cannot match any offer for Olynyk as long as Hayward has not made up his mind yet. If they match, their cap space is gone.

I`ve been thinking about the power forward position a lot today. With Rubio, we either have to play Hayward and JJ a lot at the 4, or we`re going to need another good player. Kevin Love would be absolutely perfect, but I don`t think the Cavs would accept Hood and Favors for him.

Yea Love is off the table and Millsap wants too much money. Greg Monroe is on the block but he's not a stretch PF.

Patrick Patterson. Anthony tolliver. Both free agents. I also think mbah a minute would be decent in the role but he isn't a great shooter or a great rebounder. Had a good shooting year last year.

Also, moe harkless, Wilson Chandler, Tobias Harris are guy who could be available in trade.

Why dont we just stick with Favors? We cant find anyone better for the same amount of money. And we cant beat gsw or houston with matching their style or raining threes. We should impose our own gameplay

Would agree, but Favs is one and done now. Jazz either have the guy who can't stay on the court due to injuries, or someone who returns to form and they can't afford to re-sign.
Isn't this like the Millsap/Jefferson situation? Shouldn't Utah get something for Favors instead of seeing him leave for nothing?

You're aware that the NBA has expanded beyond 12 teams, right? Have you looked at a map of the contiguous USA lately? It goes all the way from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

smh. Millsap and Jefferson didn't leave for nothing. smh.

I think the Jazz wait until they sign Ingles before they sign any stretch forwards to get a real sense of what they can spend. Hayward will cost $29,727,900 next season. Mitchell and Bradley will cost a combined $3,363,500. IF they trade Favors & Burks and release Diaw, that leaves them at $17,508,639 under cap and $36,681,639 under the luxury tax line while needing to sign at least 3 players in order to hit the 13 player minimum, and that's not including Ingles.
Taking all of that into consideration, the Jazz are a frugal organization and they would prefer not to dip too far into luxury tax. I think Joe pulls 12.5mil to maybe 15mil if those Orlando numbers actually indicate what he will possibly go for (I doubt it.) I'll say 15 million just to play devil's advocate with myself. That drops the numbers down to $2,508,639 under cap and $21,681,639 under the luxury line with two players to sign.

Rubio, Exum, Neto
Ingles, Hood, Mitchell
Hayward, Johnson
---, ---, Bolomboy
Gobert, Bradley

We won't go under the cap... might do a sign and trade and send back Favs or Burks. Might use MLE and dump one of those guys at the deadline.

Jazz could sign and trade Hill along with another consideration for Gallinari or possibly Tobias Harris.

I love Gallinari. He's a perfect fit with the Jazz...

"Gallinari has not played a full season since 2010, though he played 71 games in 2012-13 — before injuring his left knee, which would require two ACL surgeries and a surgery on his meniscus. He has also had right knee surgery."

Gallinari would be a great get if we could trade Burks and Favs.
