What's new

I could starve today/tonight and be a happy man...

Perhaps. I think it depends on whether Hood can play the 3.
Mitchell is going to get rotation minutes right away. But Dante has already said he wants to start at PG. That just isn't going to happen with Rubio on the roster. Can Quin convince Dante the team will start 2 PG's and have Dante and Rubio play together? That moves Hood to the 3 and Mitchell comes off the bench.

The 1/2 combo of the future could very well be Dante and Mitchell when Rubio's contract expires. That's 2 years down the road, so it's not inconceivable Mitchell still gets 30 mins/per but comes off the bench for now. Ingles, IMO, is better suited to a bench role. I actually like the idea of Mitchell being able to drive and kick it out to JJ or Ingles in the corners.

I like this, but Rubio, Exum and Gobert doesn't give u much spacing...
Could Ingles play some PF?

Damn, he's got so much of that street hunger for someone who attended the same private schools as Dubya and JFK.

I think Rodney and Joe can play anywhere.

I think the addition of DM has the biggest impact on Rubio. I really think Mitchell is our future PG, and Rubio is dealt as an expiring in 2018-2019 or walks in free agency.

Googled him last night just to see what was being said about him and he's getting a fair amount of hype nationally.

Damn this kid can ball!!!

FYI One Love.... I was just in your neck of the woods, Bali and Singapore!!

The fact that morrow was the one that scored that many should make everyone take this with a grain of salt (sorry to be a party pooper)

How many all star games has morrow played in? Where is he now and what is his role?
A few things to think about in regard to that.

1) Morrow was 24 and had already played a season in the league- a very productive rookie season. Mitchell is 20 and a rookie - speaks to ceiling and potential for improvement.

2) Morrow followed that summer league performance up to become one of best shooters in the league for the next 3 or 4 years. In the regulat season, he shot 47% from 3 in 2009, 46% in 2010 and 43% in 2011. So that SL performance was an indicator of success in the League. That kind of shooting is elite.

3) Morrow, even when he was good, was all about offense. Mitchell's offense is icing on the cake. Mitchell's calling card is his lockdown defense. If he only averages 10 ppg at his best, with his ability to defend its still a win for the Jazz.

Even prior to the draft he was thought of as the best defender in the draft. What excites me most is that the best freaking defender in the draft, probably in all of SL, just dropped more points than anybody in the last 8 years. Your point is solid, however. We do have to take SL somewhat with a grain of salt, but there are a lot of damn good players in this SL and in past SLs who couldn't do what Mitchell did last night.

Very true

Speaking like a veteran?!?!

Been there on a family holiday when I was around 18, to be honest I was fairly disgusted with the way westerners behave there. I've spent the best part of 15 years living and working in Melbourne's red light district and don't really mind a lot of the stuff that most people would take exception too, but the sort of repulsive stuff I saw western tourists do over there really gave me the ****s. They wouldn't dream of behaving like that at home in their own communities.
