You're right, I probably haven't seen him play enough to say he's better than Hay, but the guy is potentially better, as is Tatum.

What about Cousins? I don't know how many years, if any on his contract, but if Cousins is still around, I don't see the pels giving Niko what he wants unless they trade Cousins, plus Niko may not want to come off the bench

So that’s the issue. If they re-sign cousins at or near the max th y are deep into the tax and will have a hard time moving anyone’s salary. They are notoriously cheap. So they may move him for salary flexibility and we can swoop in there.
I don’t think he cares about starting just think he wants to be valued and maximized. If we got him and kept Favs I don’t think he’d mind coming off the bench if he knew he was getting starter minutes and finishing games.
I’d still like to get him but if he kills it in the playoffs they might try to trade another 1st to move Hill, Moore, maybe stretch Ajinca.
