What's new

Hayward

Just think, if that POS would have requested a S&T where we send him and a second rounder to Boston in exchange for a second rounder, we’d be sitting on a $30M trade exception this summer and all this cap room crap would be a non-issue.
This is legit ****ed. If you wanna know anything about the nature of the guy, know he contacted essentially no one from the Jazz organization and that he wouldn't even get the team a TPE. Dude is a a ****ing turd. Hope his brain rotted even further playing video games for a year.

His wife is a real ****ing piece of work too. Parading around those letters from kids begging him to stay with the Jazz, that stupid IG picture of the baby in a onesie (sorry, that was either calculated or they are the densest couple on the planet).

They both have some deep issues with inadequacy, and they've earned them.

Forgive me if this has been posted earlier in the thread (I’m too lazy to look through it), but I already have serious questions about Hayward’s future in Boston.

His absence has allowed Tatum and Brown to thrive and quite frankly, at this point I’d probably rather give minutes to those 2 at the wing positions. Plus, we know Ainge has ZERO conscience when it comes to the cutthroat world of making deals in the NBA.

Hayward might be turning into a really nice trade chip for Boston. It certainly seems like Tatum and Brown have a higher ceiling than G-Time while being considerably younger, not to mention much cheaper for the next few seasons.

2 things give me a serious revenge boner right now: 1- He shafted us for a team that probably doesn’t even need him, and 2- His absence this season has probably accelerated the growth of not only Tatum and Brown, but our beloved Donovan Mitchell as well. I find it hilarious that if Gordon was to never play another minute in the NBA, his legacy would be making teams/players better by simply not being around.

i'd forgotten about Robyn's posts. i was sure he was staying after i saw that, couldn't believe someone would be so stupid to post that before leaving. Yeah i just can't believe all the stuff he did (or didn't) do were just PR slip ups, nobody could be so insensitive / unaware. I'm sure for whatever reason it was all a big bird flip at the franchise on the way out.

And then Robyn wondered why so many Jazz fans said mean things about Gordon and her. I really hope Ainge trades for another piece by using Gordon's salary. I wouldn't care how many titles Boston won after that.

From Ainges pov.

Tatum has shown he is capable of replacing Haywards production while being on a rookie contract. So why pay him $30M/yr when you could bring in an AD type???

Ainge is a smart dude and Im not sure how he justifies paying Hayward MAX money.

what if BOS makes it all the way to the finals, heck even win it all. I feel some part of me is unconsciously rooting for this scenario.
Just for this year tho...

Nah that prick will still get a ring if they do.

I am disgusted any of you could root for that team.

Gross. Filthy. Disgusting.

I want the Celtics to suffer every day! They are the enemy damn it!
Danny Ainge is an....

I hate them!!!!!!!!!

Pretty much, this is my thinking. I don't hate Hayward anymore (too hate someone who hasn't directly harmed your person is giving them unwarranted power over you), but I strongly suspect he will be dealt this summer because it's an Ainge-thing to do. His contract is, at this point, a huge albatross with Tatum and his production will be suspect. That said, he is a former all-star (partially because he was a featured scorer in our system) with some name value. It is most definitely not outside the realm of possibilities that Hayward will be dealt during the draft to a team looking for star power. Ainge maybe a ****ing *****, but I give him a lot of credit for getting Boston where it is. As long as the Jazz FO doesn't get any ideas, then I will simply shrug and call it the whims of fate.

It is very ironic that the best place for Hayward, and the best thing for our team, would be for him to be here right now. Hayward along-side DM et al would be exactly what we need and we would be instantly competing for the chip. Funny how things work out.

I’m very curious about what Boston does. I mean, obviously having three good wings is a good problem to have, but while he’s been out, both those guys have established themselves on that roster and in that starting lineup. They’re up 1-0 in the conference finals without Kyrie. No way you insert Hayward into the lineup ahead of either one after missing a year. I’ve heard people talk about running a 3 wing lineup which I guess is possible but they may as well move him for a more pressing need. Who would trade for him that can offer something Ainge wants while also being able to match or take back salary, I’m uncertain, but we will see.

If they go hunting for a Kawhi or AD it will either be Gordon or Kyrie in the deal to match salary.

I just think you have young guys like that I don’t know that they want to take a step back for Gordon or Kyrie... they still haven’t been paid. They still want to make their first all star team. The good news is Gordon has great people skills and is a fantastic communicator... oh wait? The good news is Brown, Smart, and Morris aren’t pricey guys... oh wait? That is a locker room I’m watching closely next year. Gordon better come in and set the world on fire.

If I was Boston I would trade Kyrie before Hayward. You can get more for him and Kyrie doesn't fit as well. He doesn't play defense and he is much more of a ball hog. Hayward can fit in.

Kyrie is important when they get to a good defensive team and they need isobuckets it may only matter against Houston or GSW.
