Then he instigates the confrontation that may to lead to bench suspensions for Miami - I like it!

Insert Stockton in his last or second to last year in Kidd's shoes and you have the same result. Kidd never did it on his own, neither did stock, they both have 2 finals losses. The difference is Kidd went talent searching, Stock stayed loyal to his team.

Yeah, Stockton at 37 vs. Kidd at 37 - I could see that as a debate, with Kidd perhaps having the edge because of his ability to defend 2's like he did Kobe/Wade (very good job on Kobe, no so much on Wade). For their entire careers, Stockton's peak was not only greater, it's duration vastly exceeded Kidd's. Still no debate IMO.

Exactly that logic never works. Using the "well he won a championship!" logic: DeShawn Stevenson has a championship ring as a starting SG for Dallas while Reggie Miller doesn't. Nuff said.

...Kidd, like Stockton, is a true blue point guard! I was happy to see him win the whole thing. He's most deserving. However, he will never catch Stockton in either statistical categories of assists or steals. He may have scored a few more points...but he took a few more shots, too! Kidd is a great point guard. Stockton was better.

Congrats to the Mavs. Boy was I wrong about this series. Fun Finals to watch.
Atleast a few things are still right in this basketball world. I had never cared too much about the Finals for the past few years up until now, when I wanted Kidd to win and Ledouche to lose. It happened. And how. Ledouche will now have 5-6 months of summer to fend off questions about his play in the Finals. Ain't Karma a bitch?
That said, I do not want to take any credit away form the Mavs. They did it as a team and I never imagined that Terry would blossom into the kind of the consistent second option a eam would need to win the Finals. He was kind of flaky in the past but looks like he figured it out finally. Like Chandler said, no one on their team had a ring until a couple of days back. Now everyone has one. Nice.
