Point Guards

I haven't been very impressed with Ricky's passing since he has gotten here. Especially because that is what he's known for. Not be confused with his ability to run an offense.
Also think his high BBIQ is way overblown. Ricky stans are very similar to Dante stans.

I agree with this. I also dont know why people claim him to be a good defender. He has been terrible on defense. He can not stay in front of anyone in this league this season. I think people equate effort to being good at something.

The only thing Rubio seems good at is running the offense, dribbling the ball, and getting things set up.

If you surround any point guard with shooters and an athletic center they certainly should go for 10 assists a game.

Hello, this is my first and only message that I am going to write.
I read to you every day and sincerely I bite my lips a hundred times not to answer, But I am a person more to listen than to speak and that is why I never write or I will do it again.

I am from a city very close to where Ricky was born and grew up and one of the European cribs of basketball.
I have followed him since he was 12 years old and he has always "always" had the same problem with the fans, who despise him in a way that is sometimes even despicable.

I do not know if for many people basketball is just throwing a basket or have the RW physicist or is that they directly have the same IQ .. But what if that is that in this forum, you are very unfair with ricky

For starters I will say that if Ricky is not injured, the match against the BUCKS would have been won.
Why ricky the only problem he has always had and continues to have is the same and his own head.
If jazz was smart, I would hire the best psychologist in the country because that is their problem.
Start the game and just watch it run or launch its first shot, and I know what version of ricky we'll see.
And you with your criticisms, often excessive help nothing and I'm sure that ricky you read.

I keep saying, that in all the teams where ricky has played, in all the teams the fans say that ricky will end up being a substitute blah blah and it never happens. Not even the square head of Thibodeau, first with the choice of kris Dunn and then with his hobby to keep it in the corner he could get it

Ricky is happy in jazz because the technicians trust him. but the jazz game is not the ideal game for ricky's skills.
1 º Because despite having a defensive center èlite like Gobert, is a fairly limited type offensively and the ball escapes much of the hands "and never read anyone doing that self-criticism."
2º. Because ricky plays much better surrounded by athletic and fast people like for example JCrowder
and 3rd. because you have to put in a corner guys like KL or Mirotic or bjelica etc.
Make point 2 and 3 happen and try to get better with Gobert and I'm sure you have a team to contender with.
He is a pass TOP, TOP IQ and countertake TOP, but do not ask him to be a TOP shooter because he will never be and has not come to the world to be ... It is not his mission.
Greetings to all

Are we in the presence of Ricky's mom? His Uncle? His former Coach? Eh, Tio Tio!

Or is this a cry for help from Tricky Ricky himself? My spanish isn't as polished as it once was but if I remember right 'El Front' is english for the 'FRONT'. As in, a facade, a deception, a disguise. Octopussy, El Thief, The eSpanish eSamurai... eres tu? If so... please keep having those great games that seem to come around more often than they used to. Please no more 0 - 9 starts. Oh yeah... and win. That will keep us happy for the most part. Good luck with the Hammy.

Yes, there are days that shoot very badly and days that shoot very well; He needs to have good feelings. But when he has them, without a doubt, he can be the best player on the court. This year has been the best player on the court a good handful of games. Anyway, he did a lot better basketball in the Wolves; he had classmates who were better suited to his abilities. I also think that the serious knee and ankle injuries he had have affected his basketball.

I do note that Michael Carter-Williams, the 2014 rookie of the year, is available.

He's been kind of crap since his rookie year, tho.

I thought about posting this as well. We have been running with the trend of going for point guards who can't shoot, so why not give MCW a chance? I would take him over Tony Bradley, but that's me. I would also consider him an upgrade at the 2 way contract spot which would give him a chance to essentially prove his value for a few weeks while filling in as the backup point for the Brazilian Bullsh......uh......dog.

hahaha not for god, I'm just a guy who likes basketball and the pure bases "of those that are no longer", and I think that in this forum there are excessive criticism towards Ricky and not for example towards rudy "butter hand" gobert or joe "I'm going to 1 per hour" english. That with those have even erotic dreams. To taste the colors. And by the way ricky's mother died 2 years ago

It is indeed noticeable that you followed him quite a lot;)

Elfront;
Yes, I have seen all of your matches in the NBA, despite the early morning hours for a Spanish; he is my favorite player I know their weaknesses and their strengths. He is a humble person and that is the greatest thing that there is, the most attractive and a great pure PG.

Well, we are two, mate. I follow him since I was a child and played in my city "Badalona" and I know perfectly what he is capable of, just like watching him run the first minute of the match, I know if he is going to have a horrible match. But I am angry at the harshness of the criticism in this forum. One thing is to criticize and quite another is to blame everything on the back of ricky and yet not see the limitations of other players that they themselves consider stars and not a single criticism towards them. That is not fair. PD: and now to finish giving the stitch I will say that a certain center will dream for life, with the suit as it was done several times in his life, another humble guy called pau Gasol. hahaha greetings champion

Rickey has never been a great defender, but he has been worse with Utah.

To the people saying Ricky is not a good passer, and a PG should have 10 assists surrounded by shooters. That may be true, but it is hard to quantify under Quin's offense, which is not built for a pure PG or a PG to get a ton of assists. Ricky's assist numbers have dropped dramatically after he was traded, even when he was playing great last year. I watched a ton of Minny games, and I can say with confidence that Ricky can't play his best ball under this offense. Dante and Ricky look good when they start creating outside of the set offense. For a long time, Exum got benched for doing that, so he more or less passed and went to the corner. Now he is being allowed to create more and it makes him look a lot better. I don't think he is much different as a player, he is just being allowed to play to his strengths.

Lol, I can certainly tell he’s not an alt. Expressions like Holy Virgin give him away as a Spaniard for sure. Bienvenido elfront, estoy de acuerdo en que le dan demasiada cera a Ricky por aquí. Aqui un maño viviendo en Salt Lake City.

Locke went through some lineup data... the Rudy Favs thing has struggled recently... I looked at the 5-man lineup data... starters with Jae are +13.8... starters with Favs are +3.5

If we keep Favs we need to stop dicking around... just start with our best lineup... use Thabo/Royce/Niang as backup 4s... or find another placeholder option.

Ricky might work well better if we stop screwing up the spacing with the starting unit.

I assumed Holy Virgin was an artifact of Google Translate.

Elfront;

Individual defensive stats are never perfect, but he is top ten in defensive real plus minus so far this season. I don't think he's terrible on defense at all.

EDIT: top ten *among point guards*

My eye test says he cant guard anyone and can only try and play the passing lane. His defensive stats look good because he plays with Gobert.
