Blake Griffin - Angry at refs?

Anyone know why Blake Griffin was so mad at the refs at the end of the game? He was totally passive the entire game, and passed out of double teams even before they got there, and didn't play bully ball hardly at all. He settled for a few outside shots and didn't attack at all. So why was he so angry. Did he just not get enough flopping opportunities? And the one time he did Joe called him out?

Blake has a great game, but I can't stand him. Super physical on offense, then flops like an Italian soccer player on defense.

Woah, woah, woah. Easy with the shots at Italian soccer players.

Can we agree that he flops like Spanish soccer players? I take that less personally....

Jazz had a ton of FT's and the Pistons didnt. That makes players upset, regardless of it's deserved or not.

Refs seemed to be letting a lot contact go as well, especially in the post.

F' them.

Detroit is fake tough - we've seen this twice now. Griffin and Drummond both take plays off. Reggie Jackson doesn't give a ****. Collectively they played hard for about 12 minutes the entire game. The rest of the game they were seriously out-hustled and were looking for bail outs from the ref. Their bench over-performed and The Jazz are depleted - that's the only reason they were in the game to begin with.

Gobert got away with a loose ball foul (when Drummond whipped the ball at them). On another play, a Detroit player got knocked down on a close out three that should have been called. Otherwise I didn't see anything egregious that the refs missed.

It's just funny that they let them play tackle football and at the end of the game the and one DM got there was not a ton of contact.

Also, Blake is always mad at the refs... has his ipad there to show them how wrong they are... I'm sure they really appreciate it.

Jae sucked on offense last night... but he did a hell of a job on Blake I thought. The BG post up attempts on Jae were super physical... bet both guys are feeling it.

Also, I want Blake on our team... so we can watch him and Joe become best friends step brother style.

You are correct - and the whistle always favors the more aggressive/hustling team; so I feel no need to be magnanimous about it.

I complain when we get a bad whistle... so just thought I'd mention we got a good one last night... certainly still many missed calls that didn't favor us.

This is a really good point, although I don't know that it's always correct. We are generally more aggressive than our competition (especially Rudy) and generally don't get a fair whistle. I really feel the refs were trying to make a point after Rudy called them out earlier in the season, but have been more consistent with him lately.

I mentioned this a while ago but I had a friend who hung out with Corey Maggette for a time and she claimed he said of Blake and CP3 "They complain too much."

And so I always remember that and laugh whenever Blake or CP3 is whining on the court.

None flops more than Brasilian players though.
