What's new

Gamethread: Wolves @ Jazz. At the reasonable time of 7PM MST.

Pretty much lucky this game. Give up a lead like that. Crappy.

We have now won 11 of the last 13. Does that make you happy or sad? Im sincerely curious.

Are you freaking kidding? Of course it makes me happy lol. Just because I've been pessimistic about how the season has gone it doesn't mean that I don't want the team to be successful. I want my pessimism to be proven wrong in the worst way. I will happily feast on that crow like it's Thanksgiving if it happens.

Guys. We will not win every game. We will not play perfect every game. We will not always have energy every game. We will make mistakes. We will make unforced errors. Just like each one of us in our lives. Deal with it. Enjoy the ride.

Don't you know that if a guy doesn't get +25 points per game with 70% TS and an assist/TO ratio of 20-1 is a bum? Please stop making sense!

Mitchell went from like 6/12 at the end of the third to 7/24 at the end of the game.

Hopefully Minnesota coming back like that at the end will be a wake up call. I expect guy's to be locked in and ready to go on Sunday.

That was an extremely pathetic victory...but better a pathetic victory than a moral one.

I will say that while I can't stand that this team seems to not be able to step on the throat of teams often enough, they did have a 20+ point lead that allowed them to escape with the win. That does count for something.

Crappy wins best moral Ls every time. The standings and W/L column don’t discriminate.

Kind of impressed with Towns ability to score over Rudy and yet at the same time he also gets blocked by Rudy more than any other player.

There was a lid on the basket that entire 4th quarter for the whole team. So many times the ball just somehow rolled off on layups for Mitchell. He’s got to sprinkle in some midrange shots. Teams are so worried about his drive he could get a wide open 15ft shot whenever he wants it.
Don't win a lot shooting under 40%. Happy to escape with a win.
Weshot fairly well till the 4th. At one point we were 1-16 in the 4th. That will destroy any decent shooting %

Its not only your pessimism that made me wonder. Its your lack of any optimism as well.
I post plenty of negative posts on jazz fanz (probably too many negative posts about rubio tbh) and i also post positive ones too.

It seems like you only post negative posts and only post when the jazz are playing poor.

Post more man. The jazz have a lot of good things going for them. Rudy is having a career year. The jazz have the best defense in the nba. DM is continuing his rise to superstardom. Joe is the best trash talker in the nba. Korver is the best shooter the league has ever seen. Quin is a fantastic young coach. Royce is a shutdown defender on the perimeter. Jazz are 11-2 in their last 13 and have the 2nd easiest schedule in the league the rest of the way and will almost certainly make the playoffs and have a good chance at getting homecourt advantage. The jazz have a good salary situation and the ability to afford to add more talent via trade or free agency.

So much good stuff going on with the team to discuss but you seem to save your posts for gloom and doom. Try balancing that gloom and doom with some sunshine bro.

I think we're feeling the effects of not having Exum (or somebody like that). Our backcourt just lacks firepower. I think our bench lacked the firepower to put Minny away in that late 3rd early 4th and once Minny got hope it took everything from our starters to squeeze this one out. Another 5-10 pts from Exum especially when giving our starters break time probably would've resulted in an easier victory.

I think it's readily obvious that knowing they had a home/away vs The Jazz, Lil Flip challenged his team at the beginning of the 4th period to come out and play hard. Utah wasn't ready for it.

So we'll see what type of response The Jazz have on Sunday - we might know who is going to win 5 minutes into the game.

Sure we are missing some guys, but Minnesota is an NBA team (were on a 3 win streak too) and are fighting for a playoff spot in the tough West. Nights like last night will happen sometimes regardless. And they happen to every team, even the warriors.

We won the game and have been playing great in 2019.
